I have some American friends but they are all women age 20-25. I don't really have any men friends who are yanks. Mostly men here are boring and just talk about their jobs and cars or feign interest in sports but even when I got to know their sports it turned out they actually knew nothing about them themselves but just acted like they did because they had nothing else to talk about. Anyway I have stopped accepting new friends now and I don't intent to consider anyone for friendship status until at least 2008 as I have had sufficient recent contact with European acquintances to satisfy my needs for the remainder of this year.

Don't have very many close friends here at all 
It kinda struck me when my OH bought me a cell phone for our anniversary as apart from his and some of his families numbers I only have one other number in it 
I do know quite a few people but I feel like an outsider with a lot of them. I don't think they intentionally make me feel that way, it's just me.
