Yeah, FIFA soon put the kybosh on that shootout malarky.
As FIFA did the same with the Japanese J League.
Either play by our rules or your league will not be affiliated or recognised by FIFA and the US soccer federation were given no choice.

MLS is now a regular 90 minute game.

Congrats to Scrumps for the 2500th post on this thread.

My guess on the two Utd's who have never been beat by a non-league team:
Man and Scunthorpe.

Leeds & West Ham are the lucky two.

Who was the only town or city to provide 2 Wembley finalists inside a month of each other ?

Is this to do with the FA trophy and FA cup?

Neither the Trophy or Cup final were involved. Was back in 1984 if I recall correctly.

Liverpool won the league cup in '84 and Everton won the FA cup.

Did you find a old footie statto book at Oxfam or something Scrumps ?
(What were those books called ?
Sponsered by somebody... the Carling Football Fact Book...?)

Derek & Skeletor are not going to be on Jay Leno tonight. Decided to stay on holiday instead. Story and link below.

Tomorrow's Sun:
*Posh and Becks - sealions, blah blah (click the link below)
http://www.ananova.com/entertainment...nt.celebrities
*In Derek's 'interview' with Ron Manager for Sport Relief, he pretends to be receiving text messages, interrupting Paul Whitehouse. He also jokes about his voice and his love of 'bling'
*The Sun shivers with the fallout over Parlour's divorce settlement
*Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart pictured on holiday - on a narrowboat in Shropshire. Pix of them struggling with a lock gate and Calista using the boat hook to free themselves
*Lotto lout Michael Carroll was smacked in the face by an inmate on his first night back in nick
*The Sun has been 'backed and attacked' over the Hillsborough row - and has plenty of letters too
*Ally Ross: Prick
*The storms in London today have flooded the Di memorial. A pic shows the fountain being pumped out
*Pix of Katy Hill getting married in Tuscany
*BB bosses have tightened security because of Becki's likely eviction -she has become a hate figure0
*George Michael has shut the chatroom on his website because fans keep slagging him off.
*Jude Law and Julia Roberts have asked Damien Rice to write the soundtrack to their new film, Closer
*La Newton slams the Saturday Night Fever opening party for having 'a z-list and two nobodies' on the guest list. Kym Marsh was there, obviously, with husband Jack, and the rest were EastEnders no-marks.
*Pix of Danny Murphy feeling his wife's breasts while in the sea in Barbados.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,5-2004311621,00.html
*Five's new reality show will feature a bride and groom who can win new faces for their wedding - via plastic surgery.
*Centre spread: Sienna is the new Kate Moss - and Kate is mighty miffed about it.
*George and Lynne: George, on a fishing trip, chats about Lynne's sex-change cousin.

So does anyone fancy it then ?
Single.
No kids.
£250,000 a year which will go up to £406,000 a year before her hubby ends up playing in the back four at Scunthorpe.
(Full settlement is:
*Two mortgage-free houses worth more than £1m
*£250,000 lump sum
*£444,000 a year )

We haven't mentioned this yet.
What do we think about this ?
She's entitled to an increase in future earning and as mentioned - no kids to look after. (As far as I know)

This is like the managers still getting paid after they've got the book. It's bloody stupid.

Scratch that - the league cup final was in March and the FA Cup in May.

Both Liverpool and Everton have played each other in many finals at Wembley (1984's league cup final being one) so technically they were both there within a month of each other.

I just read that. Three kids though
She also receives the £12,500 sum Mr Parlour pays annually for each of the children, aged eight, six and four.
I think alimony is a bunch of crap. Provide for the kids - absolutely, but she doesn't deserve anything. Money grabbing bint.

Isn't it the case that the alimony will be reviewed to protect Parlour because he won't be on Premiership wages forever? Regarding his future team, I thought there already was a ***** in Scunthorpe?

And on that note, I'm going to scuttle off and do the MLS predictions.

They are right, the only thing remotely intresting about American sports are the cheerleaders. NFL is possibly the only sport where a 400Lb man is considered an athlete!
