Guys just an update. My visa status has now changed to issued! Still waiting for the email to collect my passports! Hopefully this is the end of a very mentally draining process.

Hi Kamz, i was curious as to whether they issued you the 5 years you were hoping for. I am trying to get my dad in to visit me and he is waiting on the waiver for a juvenile charge he had 53 years ago. It seems exceptionally harsh but i read these threads with hope...

Just to update, I received notification via my lawyers to send in my passport on Thursday last week, 6th October. I dropped off at a DX center the next day, so now just waiting for the turnaround from the embassy and a passport back in hand to be able to travel.
My interview was July 22nd, so just about 11 weeks.
