I'm intrigued by this one.

Just saw the first episode of the reboot to Red Dwarf. It was a bit of an abortion. Just no.
Didn't they learn their lesson last time they tried t reboot it?

This time it was done by Dave.

Should have been all I needed to know it was going to be bad. Oh, that and the previous reboot

Reboot? What reboot?

The Dave series was a continuation, not a reboot AFAIK.

Series XI is also NOT a reboot. First episode is on Dave tomorrow night or available to stream on Watch Red Dwarf Online | On Demand | UKTV Play but you'll need Hola or a VPN to watch.

It's actually not bad - and this is from a lifelong fan!

Great line...

Spoiler:

Well it is a reboot, in that the series was long finished years ago and should have stayed that way.

This was horridly bad. It's been doing the rounds for a few weeks already. Just awfully unfunny.

TBH it's been pretty bad since Rob Grant stop being involved. I've never really liked any of the seasons past 6

IMHO. ANY Dwarf is better than no Dwarf. Of course it's not as good, but it did have some funny lines.

...and Bob, it may be a revival, but it's certainly NOT a reboot!

Anyone catch the second series of The Missing?

This turned out to be a bit of a binge watch and a quality second series. The first two episodes were quite hard to get into because the show keeps flipping back from the before the incident, the time it happened and a few years later and then to the present time which is several years later still with no indication of why certain things have happened to certain characters but after a few episodes, all those character arcs come together and make sense.

It's such a good drama and well worth sticking with.

Creepy as hell, but very good drama.

I have all the episodes...will binge watch when I have time.

We do enjoy British crime/dramas...they are always very different to US crime programs.

The Missing is great binge watching, right until you get up to date.

They have done a great job of continuation and change. Morrissey manages to fill Nesbitts boots. There is a bit of a let down in that the "second unit" scenes in the desert, seem to have had a second unit writer, as those scenes are pretty awful compared to everything else. There are four timelines being followed, just one of which is referenced only occasionally; but haircuts and other body modifications make it easier to keep track of what is happening when.

I thought having a lengthy dialogue whilst under extreme fire was a bit much. Not sure you were referring to that or other desert bits. In general, I agree, the desert scenes seemed hastily put together without much thought.

The Coroner, bit of a cheesy afternoon drama is back for a second series. Has the Goose as well as the ambulance chap from Casualty.

Has anyone seen "My Mother and Other Strangers"? War drama about a US base setting up in rural Ireland.

Close to the Enemy, is another period war time type drama, but spies this time. Bit of a slow first episode but potentially interesting.

Like both 'My Mother and Other Strangers' and 'Close to the Enemy' .
