Crap. I thought it was a rerun of the original ! I'll have to look into it.

We ended up binge watching the first two episodes last night and rather enjoyed it.

Certainly of a different time though

Also after a slow start, we're enjoying Broadchurch.

Exclamation Re: UK TV Programs

Did anyone enjoy the movie "Snatch" directed by Guy Ritchie from around a decade ago?

I was just looking up something on IMDb - Movies, TV and Celebrities - IMDb and came across a trailer for a new 10 part TV adaptation of "Snatch", mostly filmed in Manchester UK and a main character is portrayed by actor Rupert Grint (of Harry Potter fame) and the (gorgeous) actor Dougray Scott also stars in the production.

It is being released next week, 16th March in the UK and the USA, but I can't work out if it can be viewed on TV or by streaming.

Anyway....it looks like it could be entertaining, take a look at the two trailers here:

If it's streaming, it's not showing up with a search on the big three.

IIRC, the movie was made around 2000 and had Brad Pitt as an intelligible pikey!

We watched episodes 1 & 2 of series 3 of Broadchurch last night and it was excellent (much better than series 2 which I found too slow and boring and gave up on).

Julie Hesmondhalgh (who used to play the transgender Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street) is portraying the sex attack victim Trish Winterman. She is doing it brilliantly and I suspect she will win an award for it.

I can't wait to see the next episode!

Streaming on Netflix - National Treasure.

It stars Robbie Coltrane as an ageing entertainer who is much loved by the public when he is arrested because of a woman accusing him of rape in his earlier years.

Obviously, it's based on the recent scandal involving the likes of Jimmy Saville and Stuart Hall, although the credits have a disclaimer.

It's in four parts. We've just watched the first one so far (so much to watch, so little time!) and it's pretty interesting and, with Julie Walters as his wife and Tim McInnery as his comedy partner, very well acted!

We're also watching National Treasure, though I didn't realise it was on Netflix. We're 2 eps in, excellent so far.
