Clique...it's a couple of episodes in and a Beeb drama. I think they're trying for a bit of Channel 5 smut. It's not that great.

Replacement, a 3 part Beeb drama. Not seen it yet but it sounds promising. Anyone seen it yet?

All change at The Gadget Show. Gone is the bald-headed egomaniac, Jason, and in with Red Dwarfer Craig Charles.

They've messed with the format a little, but if anything, it's MORE geeky than it was before. Episode 2 has just aired in the UK.

Watched it and found it reasonable until the last episode which was disappointing (don't want to give any spoilers)

Agreed. The last 15 minutes is absolutely ludicrous. What a waste of 3 hrs.

A slew of new shows that it's hard to keep up.

Paula, a 3 part drama. Very weird, but I kind of liked it. The missus wasn't quite as sure. It's definitely not sure if it's a spooky show or a more traditional drama though.

The Loch. A new murder mystery thing set in Scotland. After the first episode, thought it had potential and rather liked it.

Broken. Series about the church with Sean Bean. Only seen the first episode and it had potential but was a little slow to get going but it's a few episodes in so will stick with it.

Inspector George Gently, is back but it's probably getting a little long in the tooth.

White Gold, silly comedy about double glazing salesmen in the 80's. It's basically The Inbetweeners, set in the 80's, with the people as grown ups. I'm amused by it, the missus, not quite as much

I love Broken! Sean Bean makes a brilliant priest and of course the whole series is a close examination of how society treats it's less fortunate members. Very, very well done.

The Loch also seems good, and, after a rather disappointing first episode Ackley Bridge looks as though it could be good. Inevitable comparisons with 'Waterloo Road' but still OK.

Watched the first episode of Broken - seems interesting, but finding it hard to be overly sympathetic for the female protaganist! (so far, at least -- not wanting to spoil for those who haven't seen it)

Also interested in Paula. Seems the beeb are producing / purchasing some higher quality programmes lately, albeit in mini-series format.
