UK TV Programs

Re: UK TV Programs
This is turning into a great series, but only if you've seen the previous two, especially the first series as the story line twists back to them with a lot of spoilers if you haven't seen them.
Bit of a shocker leading up to the final episode. Certainly one to binge watch.
We've got Marcella, queued up but not gotten around to watching yet.

I've watched the first 2 eps of Marcella...but it may be best to wait until you have all the eps. So far so good...but I'm getting tired of Anna Friel playing the same type of character. Maybe there will be a twist and prove me wrong.
Second series of The Tunnel. Have not seen it yet but my sister says it's very good.

Re: UK TV Programs
We just saw the first episode of Marcella and thought it had some promise. A little slow getting the story line together but we liked it. Have 4 episodes lined up.
We also still liked the first episode of Scott and Bailey, though you're right that it does have a slightly different vibe with the old boss being retired.
We've got the Tunnel, lined up and loved the first series, really gripping stuff, so might binge watch it when there's a few more episodes.

The Secret
Bit of a slow burn this, but rather good. Very cold drama, right to the end of the first episode.
Wallander, is back for another series, if anyone else is still watching this show.

I just started watching House of Cards and now feel I should seek out the original. It passed me by when I was back home in Blighty.

Upstart Crow
It's a 3 part comedy about the Bard, which seems to not be getting great reviews, but we rather liked the first episode. Have the next one lined up. It's a bit Blackadder like though.
Mum, another new comedy, which sounded good but we've not gotten around to seeing it yet.
British Sewing Bee, should be starting about now.

I recently watched Cunk on Shakespear, maybe not everyone's cup of tea, I found it hilarious, laughing out loud.

Wallander, hasn't been bad since it came back. Fairly dark as usual, but not quite as depressing as the past series.

Top Gear
The presenters were as expected, a bit wooden and dull. The "highjinks" of the fun stuff was as crap as ever, but I never saw it for that anyway. The cars were good and the lap was fun.
It's a doable show just for the cars.

So anyone been watching The Musketeers?
The third and final season, just finished and have it lined up and have found the first couple of episodes fun and cheesy but the big bag guy, not as fun as the previous bunch.

Re: UK TV Programs
Just finished watching The Five which has been shown recently on Sky. 10 eps in total and has to be one of the best series I've seen. Highly recommend it.

Versailles - Versailles (TV Series 2015– ) - IMDb
Anyone else watching that? It's pretty good...the boobs and bonking is a bit weird though. Quite a dark show really.

Re: UK TV Programs
Talking about good characters, Penny Dreadful was full of them, and it ended last night after three seasons. Bastards! They just introduced a great new character, Catriona Hartdegen, and we only get her for three episodes, what a waste.

Re: UK TV Programs
Very odd show but it's coming along nicely and a decent pace.
