Seems a host of new shows out.

The Challenger, 2 part Beeb drama about the scientist who tried to find the cause of the Challenger disaster.

WPC 56, Beeb again, set in the 50's, about the first female copper in the area.

Same here. Just watched the first of series 2 and thought that it was quality. Now need series 1.

Rather enjoyed it. It's a little slow though, but has potential and just a nice old feel to it.

I wouldn't bother if you haven't already. There's slow, and then there's just plain boring. It might improve over time but I doubt I'll ever find out.

Bluestone 42

New been comedy, about a bomb disposal unit in Afghanistan.

It's really rather daft, but I quite liked it. Silly bit of comedy and rather amusing. Lot of recognisable faces from various Brit tele shows too.

I don't really care for comedy shows...too silly...too much canned laughter and overacting for my liking. I prefer dramas that have great one liners for my laughs...such as Scott and Bailey.

I just finished watching the first series of Scott and Bailey after your recommendation. Bloody brilliant, loved it. Can't wait to watch series 2

A few episodes in and really starting to enjoy this. It's still a bit slow compared to the other missing kid drama, but this really picked up the intrigue in the second and especially the third and it is rather good.

So many sub plots and characters that could be guilty of the crime, but also so many different directions for a motive that this could go down, that it is becoming so much more than just a simple who done it murder case.

Like the first series...I bet each episode with tell the story of each person involved in the syndicate.

For those who haven't seen the first series...I recommend it and it's available on TheBox.

Ditto that one. Really enjoyed the first series and this one has got the makings of another good one.

Have you seen The Street...it was on a few years ago...3 series. The concept was very similar to The Syndicate. Each week it told the story of a person/family who lived in the street. Timothy Spall starred in most of the episodes. We really enjoyed it...again it's available on TheBox.

I remember watching at least 1 series a few years ago but cannot remember which one. I'll download the last one and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the reminder.

Doctor Who starts back up on BBCA next week.

BBC have released a sort of 2 minute prequel-type thingy.

Nice acting by Matt Smith / girl.

Have to say, enjoying this second series of Prisoners Wives a lot more than the first. Seems to have a better pace and more intrigued. Can't say I like the new characters all that much though, they're a bit naff.

Also liking The Syndicate, second series seems to have gotten off to more intrigue straight away, with another late payer, someone leaving the group and all that stuff. Is nice that it's a whole new group of people, with a small throw back from the first series though.
