Anyone caught either? We're so far behind tele, just wonder if either were worth catching.

Or what about "The Ice-cream Girls"? 3 part drama I think.

Really loved Broadchurch, didn't see that ending coming and there was a tag line that it's coming back, so not sure where a follow up storyline will go, but cracking series after a very slow first episode.
I have only seen the first episode of "The Ice Cream Girls" and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to watching my recordings of "The Politicians Husband" (with David Tennant) which has been reviewed positively.

I also enjoyed "Broadchurch", but I did find it a bit slow at the beginning.

Didn't think much of the first Politician's Husband but the previews for the next one look more exciting. Seems to be the the MO with David Tennant dramas to start off slow I must say I much prefer his Scottish accent. Seen both Ice Cream Girls. Not bad, worth watching.

Job Lots - passable and watchable. Just may get better.
Vicious - latest in a long line of british comedy flops. Resurrect Galton and Simpson, please.
Enjoying Ice Cream Girls though. Last episode to come.

Just saw the first episode of The Job Lots and had a couple of giggles from it. Has potential and will give it a few episodes.

Vicious, this was terrible. Shame as it has a good cast line up, but couldn't bare to watch more than half of the first episode.

Ice Cream Girls, bit of a slow start to the first episode, but quite liking it. About a woman who comes home to look after her ill mother after years away and has her past demons coming back to haunt her as it were.

So has anyone seen Da Vinci's Demons? It's a few episodes in, but not gotten around to watching any yet.

This the Danish, or whatever show that got remade? Hard to keep up, but I think I missed the boat so never jumped on to it. Don't think I could just pick it up now.

Just finished up all three series of Gavin & Stacey on Amazon Prime. I loved it - adn really didn't think I would as it is quite different from what I usually like. There are a good few suggestions for other things to watch which I have earmarked. Still have Ice Cream Girls (3) and The Politician's Husband (2) to catch up on. Can't think why I didn't cancel the cable years ago. Not only would I have started saved $100 a month sooner, but I would have been watching much better telly. You live and you learn...

Someone on here described it as a kind of Harry Potter style soft porn movie which I thought was a good description. The production values are excellent but the lead character is extremely irritating and the bad guys are one dimensional. Best avoided.

Well after the first episode, I didn't think it was entirely terrible. Was a bit slow and the main character was a bit of a chore, but I'll give it another episode or two.

Just trying to figure out where I recently saw him in, without having to IMDB him

Anyone catch Murder on the Home Front?

I think it's a 2 parter, set during WW2. Sounded like a quirky period drama with a pretty decent cast line up.

Just saw the first part and rather liked it.

Kind of a cross between Quincy and CSI set in WW2...well worth a punt.

Also just saw Life of Crime.

That's a cop drama series about the rise of a female copper in the Met, set as the Brixton riots kick off.

Also very good that and quite a lot of faces you'll recognise like Jeff from Coupling, the dim boyfriend chap from Stella and a few others.

Finally saw that last episode of Endeavour.

Really enjoyed the series. Rather liked how Thaw's daughter was still in the series as that reporter and that the ME chap looked like the original one in Morse before he died.

Also nice touch that Colin Dexter making a cameo in each episode, that was fun to try and spot.

That shoe shop too, in the third episode, it's the only shop on that street that has been in business throughout the Morse/Lewis shows as well, so nice to see that get a feature. Not to many shops these days were around back when this was set, apart from Blackwells and most of the pubs.

Bit of a shame that the Victoria Arms didn't get a feature though. That was the pub featured in the first and last episode of both, Morse and Lewis shows.

I really enjoyed it too. I have even warmed to the young Morse. In the pilot and 1st episode, I just couldn't see him as Morse. Maybe I didn't notice in the earlier episodes, but he appears to have adopted a few of Morse's mannerisms as portrayed by John Thaw. Or, maybe it is because different directors were used, for at least three of the episodes, and the young character has developed further. Anyway, I do hope that there are more episodes in the pipeline.
