Common Ground.

Sounds interesting, has Charles Dance as a ex rock band tour manager living in a home, still trying to party it up.

Being Eileen.

That seems to be a new series based on what I thought was a one off Christmas Special, Lapland. Sounds like a dysfunctional family comedy, has Sue Johnston and a couple of folks from Waterloo Road in it.

OMG I started to watch "Blandings" and was transported back to age 13 when I used to raid Grandfather's library and started reading P.G. Wodehouse and actually enjoyed them. I was just out of the Enid Blyton stage and moving on to more "big girl" stuff. Anyways I went over to my Dad's house today and started rummaging through my Mum's old books and Voila "Pigs have Wings" and the story of Lord Emsworth and his prize winning pig the Empress of Blandings. I remember this story so well. I shall definitely read the book again and watch the series

So we saw the final pair of Lewis episodes this weekend. Bit sad, but a nice ending I guess.

Ended up in the Vicky Arms, which seems to be full circle, last pub in Morse too I think. Anyway, was one of my old locals, so that was nice

This is slightly embarrassing to admit, but I only recently discovered DCI Banks when I happened upon a couple of episodes in the 'International TV' section on an AA flight back from blighty at xmas. Promptly downloaded all the series when I got back and thoroughly enjoyed. Can anyone recommend something similar? Please.

If you read through this thread you will find loads of recommendations. I enjoyed Good Cop...but there have been several good dramas.

Being Human....back again and a few episodes in, my interest is waning rapidly, again.

The new characters are just terribly dull.

Search this thread for Scott and Bailey. The main characters are two female cops. Some great one liners.
