I was going to say the same. **** cling film and it's clingy ways. Tin Foil forever. Or freezer bags where appropriate.

We have Glad Press 'n' Seal , has less of a ball issue. It's only sticky on one side. Great for sealing containers, not sure about sandwiches.

We've got that in the past as well, it worked OK from what I remember.

I'm convinced you can tell the level of advancement of a country by the quality of its cling film.

Just something that is said on ads, tv, news, etc, like "10 long years", "10 short minutes". Are those the ones with some extra time added or taken away. The never knowing how long, "a few minutes", could be 2 minutes or 20. Just in a PO'd mood right now.

Virgin are the worst airline ever. I hope it's OK to have a car seat in an aisle seat. They pre allocated seats for me and I can't change them. Now I have been on hold for 20 minutes.

This is news? I never understood why people speak so highly of Virgin. I ended up on a Virgin flight once, because of a code-share. It was the most cramped seat I have ever sat in. I wouldn't fly Virgin again unless I had had my legs amputated above the knee.

Was it cramped because of the extra gear under the seat for the entertainment system? Some airlines that have fancy 'headrest' based systems, have installed massive boxes in the footwell area to drive these displays, and they are really annoying!

No, there was insufficient room to have my thighs horizontal, parallel, and pointing in the direction of travel. I don't recall there being a footwear issue, but this was 15 years ago, so entertainment systems were more rudimentary.

Aren't you nearly seven feet tall though? I'd have thought any seat not in the emergency exit spot was tight for you. I find them cramped with my tiddly 29" inside leg.

My honeymoon was booked with "Virgin Holidays" skiing at Mammoth Mountain. It was brilliant - nice free upgrade on the flights, champagne with all the staff congratulating us then an upgrade to a beautiful suite at the hotel. Best part though was the certificate they gave us - certifying that our honeymoon had taken place on Virgin territory!!

Australia Red Cross are always calling out for blood, especially O Neg which is mine. And then you remember the three mile long list of banned people and you get pissed off all over again.

I remember Clarissa Dickson-Wright (sp?) of The Two Fat Ladies fighting with a piece of cling film. I learned in Culinary School to place the bowl - or whatever you're using - on the cling film and bring it up the sides and over the top to bind it.

I hate the use of "convenience fee" when doing stuff online. Surely if there is less paperwork the cost should be cheaper or is labor so cheap in the USofA? Utah wants to charge me a 75c convenience fee to renew my license online. I probably will pay this as it's much the same as a cost of a stamp.

All unavoidable taxes and fees should be included. Buying a ticket for anything is an endless list of unannounced fees. The worst are fees that don't make sense - parking my car near the airport they add on a daily fee for the living wage when the employee costs are fixed due to me only dropping off and picking up my car once - it doesn't cost them an extra $5 in employee wages when my car sits on the lot for an extra 5 days.
