Please tell us that's hyperbole.

I don't think I know 120 people, let alone want to invite them somewhere. I'd be hard pushed to think of 10 people I'd want to party with.

I've been to several such parties, but I didn't know that went on at baby showers  Well, apart from the nipples bit...

Maybe you were in the wrong bathroom.

When people don't refill the ice-cube tray.

I know we must be the only people in America who still have a fridge that doesn't dispense it's own ice, but still.

We have to use an ice cube tray too. Too tight to spend out on a fancy fridge :D

Not only do we not have an ice-maker, but we don't even make ice - absolutely no use for the stuff. On the absolutely rare occasion we get visitors who want ice, we find remnants of ice cubes lingering in the bottom of the ice cube tray - probably from 5 years ago ... (the water eventually evaporates, I guess). Ice is nasty. When we travel and need to cool a cooler, we buy great big bags of the stuff at the store for $1.99.

We do have the fridge, but we've never bothered to hook up the water line.

We don't fill ours anymore, we just buy bags at the store and keep them in the big freezer in the garage, bringing them up one at a time for when they need it.

My peeve from when we did though was the fact that I never use ice. I am fine with tap-temperature water and I just wait for juice or pop (or on those rare occasions, beer ) to get cold before I drink it. Yet, every single ****ing time it was me who had to fill the arsing ice trays. Every time.

This was a weird concept to me, buying ice at the store. We have a tray full of ice in the freezer enough for the party yet I have to go and make a special trip to the store to get three bags.

My wife goes through so much bloody ice every day that she'd be putting a tray of ice into her cup each time she drinks water (which is bottled water that I put into the freezer to make cold before it even gets drunk, but don't get me started on that logic). It's easier just to pick up 3 of the 7lb bags and keep them on hand.

Meanwhile, there's me just filling my cup from the tap and drinking it as it is when it comes out. Oh well.

Hmmm our wives related?

I drink water out of the tap (faucet) and use ice out of the ice machine.
My beautiful darling wife drinks Evian!!! or at push water from the Brita thingy, and ice same as, bagged!!

They're American (presumably yours is), they have a biological urge to cram a cup with ice before putting liquid in. Now, with water, WGAF because water can't water water down. But my wife will do the same with pop, and it's watered down to high **** before she's even halfway done. Can't be having that myself. The use of the bagged ice is more of a convenience for me, because **** me if someone else actually fills a tray, or restocks the fridge/freezer with drinks other than me in that house ...

If it's mentally hot on a given day, I'll ice my water, or grab a cold bottle, which I'm still not sure why we use but that's for another time, but for general use, I'm fine with it at tap temperature.

I never add ice to drinks regardless of how hot it is. And the thing is it doesn't actually help to cool you down because science.

Ice Cold in Alex works, though.
