A friend of mine got pull over by a Police car for not making a legal right turn on a red light.
He was waiting behind her at the lights.

They'd pull you over for breathing the wrong way if they could. Anything to make another couple of hundred bucks for the village.

When I was around in Oxford, they only had a couple of cameras in action, they just moved the camera around every couple of weeks. The taxi drivers were great for telling you which box was ever active at the moment :D

One word, unions.

This is an interesting variation on temporary traffic lights http://northamericatraffic.com/wp-co...ped/rcf2.4.png

Automated Flagger Assistance Device (AFAD) for short-term use

I sent this to my local land use and transportation department and they had never heard of them. They are now going to consider them.

A friend of BIL's does the flagging up in Maine over the summer, he was on $15hr as it was considered hazardous pay.

Down my way, it's all done by off duty cops and they're definitely paid more money.

There is one set of those lights in use though, on a bridge that has had one side closed as they rebuild the bridge as it has to be done 24/7.

Anyway, recent peeve would be the person across the street, parking their car across the street, right opposite our driveway, makes it really difficult to get out in the morning as there isn't much room. There's plenty of room either side of our driveway...they even have their own driveway to park in.

It might not be so bad if they parked close to the curb.

Festering dick clips.

They won't be laughing when the other neighbour wipes them out in his work "rape" van. You know the sort of Dodge, from every horror movie, ever.

Another peeve, how towns around here spread out the 4th of July fireworks....only a few of them actually do them on the 4th. Most have been going on since Friday through tomorrow and then a bunch from next Friday, through the end of the month.

Just get it over with in one shot, with perhaps a rain date for the next weekend but it's getting ridiculous.

****in' clucking hens. I thought having an office in full view of the front door was bad until they moved me down here. It. Never. Stops.

Oh great, you're up the duff, so now I have to hear endless ****ing baby shite all ****ing day long. It's not like you're the 100 billionth person in history to end up sprog farming and it's not even your first anyway.

Christ, I wish they'd hurry up and become jaded and cynical like me so we can all have some peace and quiet for a change.

Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuu ...

Oh, I'm sure that's on the cards. I'll find an excuse to have the day off when that comes around.

I hate baby showers. Aside from the fact it's a total gift grab, which on it's own is enough to piss me off, I feel very uncomfortable giving gifts and congratulations until mum and baby are both safely home from the hospital.

I think I may have already peeved about this back in the spring

The whole idea is stupid anyway. People shouldn't be congratulated for having children - it's the entire point of any species' existence to reproduce. But of course, our species decided that it's appropriate to waste your money on someone for doing what they are biologically driven to do.

In that case, I want a card every time I take a shit, or drink a glass of water.

****ing attention whoring ****sticks.
