From the description, this is the scenario I see: major intersection; two left-turn lanes at a light. Two or three lanes on the road you're turning into. Driver in left-most lane, turning left, decides to drift into not-the-left-most lane in the process of making the left turn. We have one or two of those around here, and it's irritating to say the least when a driver changes lanes mid-junction while turning left. Where there are three lanes in the road you're turning in to, and there's also traffic turning right (against a red or with a yield lane) into that road and therefore occupying the right-hand lane, I can see how it would also be potentially dangerous.

Current pet peeve.

So you go online and you're looking and looking for a particular something* and eventually buy that something from Amazon or where ever. You're happy with your purchase, it's exactly what you wanted and frankly most people only need to buy one a lifetime. Except now some ad server somewhere has decided you must always see ads for that same something even though you just bought it and won't need another one ever.

I have adblock. Maybe I need to update my filters but there are certain sites where they've upped their game and they slip through.

Then on my phone it's different again.

This?
Driver 1 drifts right, into the lane designated for driver 2. Driver 2 cannot move right because driver 3 is occupying the third lane. Resulting in peeved-ness all around.
Quick & dirty picture, but your wish is my command...

there was an article recently regarding facebook bypassing adblocker

Adblock Plus blocks Facebook's ad-blocker buster: It's a block party! • The Register

Go into your Google account and look at all the stuff in the Personal info and privacy section. You can blitz the lot, which is probably overkill, or just delete stuff you don't like. But there is so much stuff it can take a while.

I think you're correct - as I said in my first reply on this topic, I was unclear what he meant about "centre lane". We have one of those in my bailiwick, not helped by them adding another lane on the exit of the junction a couple of years ago. That said, depending on which vehicle I am driving (Mustang GT for example), which left turn lane has the most traffic, and my assessment of other vehicles (often minivans) waiting to turn left, I have been known to turn left from the left turn lane with the intention of taking a right turn within less than a quarter mile. :sneaky: :o

I have posted previously several years ago on my (mistaken, in this case) interpretation where traffic turning left "in", waiting in the "center lane" blocks the path of traffic turning left "out". What is need is a roundabout.

Indeed, a proper roundabout would solve a lot of the traffic flow problems. However, around here at least, it would only exacerbate the potential for pet peeves of the "tw@t changing lane where not appropriate to change lane" variety.
