I was utterly seething. How self-absorbed does someone have to be to block a parking space with a trolley because they don't want to walk ten bloody feet?

I hope she spends all day today with a badly wiped arse and no access to a bog.

The added bonus in the UK would be that you would get 10 people fighting for a single parking space after having waited for 20 minutes.

We get people clogging up the aisles here too, waiting for someone to unload 4,567 bags into their car so they can get a space a full 20' closer to the entrance. Twat-arsing mingefaces, the lot of them.

Talking to random person...

Them - oh I think I detect a bit of an accent there
Me - yes British
Them - ooh where abouts?
Me - Manchester
Them - Really, my family is originally from Lincolnshi-eye-ire*
Me - Marvelous

*or insert other vaguely large area or tiny little village I've never heard of but obviously no where near Manchester.

I got nearest to a punch up in 50 years when I was loading up the trunk of my car at Lowes two weeks ago. The parking lot is on a slight slope and a guy loading the trunk of his car further up let the shopping cart roll down hill directly toward my vehicle. I didn't realize it until it was about ten feet away but was able to grab it in time. The guy didn't seem to care and I yelled a mouthful of insults at him. I was waiting for him to call me out on it but he decided to drive off instead.

A runaway shopping cart can really scratch the bodywork when it impacts to the extent that not even a good quality scratch remover would work

My car....which currently isn't going vroom, vroom.

Expensive new part is faulty and also another cheap sensor...but the first part was a genuine manufacturer part and imported and taking the garage a while to warranty and neither of us want to stump for a new part in the meantime.

Just tell them it's a slight Mancurian accent next time and watch for the puzzled look.

Don't get me started on this. I swear every American has some sort of British tie in them.

One of the things I find happens a lot is people leave carts in empty parking spots. So you're driving around Costco's parking lot on a busy Saturday looking for a place, you spot one, you're about to turn into it and guess what there's an empty cart occupying the place and Costco's carts being the size they are are best off not colliding with.

Aldi's Markets have a good idea. You pay 25 cents to get the cart from the rack and it's refundable when you return the cart.

Another good idea are the Walgreen's carts that cannot be moved beyond a certain point. Once you get to it the wheels lock. Hard on the homeless but I reckon stores must lose a fortune on lost carts

An old French lady at Charles de Gaulle airport after finding out I lived near Los Angleles told me her son lived in LA, gave me his name and asked if I knew him. True story,

T shirts that twist on their first wash. Well any wash really but first is especially irritating.

We had a staff car park at work, only a small one and not big enough for a;ll the staff, so you can imagine the comments when a non staff person parked their car cross ways over two parking spaces, I arrived early that morning as did another staff member and there were few other cars around, so we parked, correctly, at the front and back of this car, leaving less than an inch space each side. unfortunately when we came to leave the car was still there, and no irate driver around so we had to free him from the blockade. We never saw the car again though.
