This reminds of what it was like living in the UK. Distant memories.
I hope she spends all day today with a badly wiped arse and no access to a bog. |

Re: Pet Peeves?
The added bonus in the UK would be that you would get 10 people fighting for a single parking space after having waited for 20 minutes.

Talking to random person...
Them - oh I think I detect a bit of an accent there Me - yes British Them - ooh where abouts? Me - Manchester Them - Really, my family is originally from Lincolnshi-eye-ire* Me - Marvelous *or insert other vaguely large area or tiny little village I've never heard of but obviously no where near Manchester. |
Re: Pet Peeves?
I got nearest to a punch up in 50 years when I was loading up the trunk of my car at Lowes two weeks ago. The parking lot is on a slight slope and a guy loading the trunk of his car further up let the shopping cart roll down hill directly toward my vehicle. I didn't realize it until it was about ten feet away but was able to grab it in time. The guy didn't seem to care and I yelled a mouthful of insults at him. I was waiting for him to call me out on it but he decided to drive off instead.
A runaway shopping cart can really scratch the bodywork when it impacts to the extent that not even a good quality scratch remover would work |
Re: Pet Peeves?
My car....which currently isn't going vroom, vroom.
Expensive new part is faulty and also another cheap sensor...but the first part was a genuine manufacturer part and imported and taking the garage a while to warranty and neither of us want to stump for a new part in the meantime. |

Story below Selfish driver learns the hard way why they can't just park anywhere they like | Metro News Aldi's Markets have a good idea. You pay 25 cents to get the cart from the rack and it's refundable when you return the cart. Another good idea are the Walgreen's carts that cannot be moved beyond a certain point. Once you get to it the wheels lock. Hard on the homeless but I reckon stores must lose a fortune on lost carts |

Don't get me started on this. I swear every American has some sort of British tie in them.

T shirts that twist on their first wash. Well any wash really but first is especially irritating.
