It's probably not too much different from New York, really.

Deep dish pizza kicks arse, though.

Nah, not to this person and former New Yorker. Give me a thin crust pizza any day. Deep dish pizza is like eating bread with sauce and cheese on top.

The perfect food.
Apart from curry.

Apart from beer....

I think that's kind of the idea.

I love Chicago food. Not exactly good for you but who cares about that?

Oh yeah, we've all been there.

I tried getting a big stonking doner when I was back over recently and to my shame, I wasn't able to finish it :(. Gyros are a decent substitute out here, though.

That's a good looking slice. Shit, I'd marry him if he brought that to me.

How can you eat those things? I've felt unhealthy just staring at the meat! And then there is the questionable hygiene of said 'establishment' (especially in student towns).

Pray he's the heir to a pizza fortune (Mr. Dominos? ;)) - If he is, can I come to the wedding? I have high hopes for the catering.

They taste awesome! ..... Gyros are not a good substitute because they don't come with chili sauce. :(

Cool.

Chicago probably has the same kind of place, but I'm not driving 60 miles for a kebab

Most of the time I'm wankered, but I'd eat them sober as well. I don't worry so much about the finer points, I just get stuck in.

I'm going to leave him after I get my fill of the pizza. I'll save you some.

Please do! I'm not fussy with pizza - I'll take whatever I can get my hands on (though I reserve the right to pick off mushrooms).

Please send me the mushrooms - every savoury dish can be improved by the addition of mushrooms. I just finished breakfast a few minutes ago: sausage slices, fried eggs, a fried slice of bread, ..... and fried mushrooms. Washed down with a mug of PG Tips.

How long have you been in the US? I left the UK early 2015 and I feel you're still more British than me!
I had frosties Frosted Flakes and a coffee (French Vanilla).

Coming up on 15 years in about seven weeks. ..... In many ways I have been totally assimilated by the US (Mustang, F250, decent sized detached house, etc), but I still sound pretty much like I did when I left Sheffield when I was eight years old. Ten years in Glawster didn't change my accent, nor another ten-plus in Landan. My accent stood out as much in those places as it does here, but there it didn't cause women to swoon as it does here, in fact it seemed to have the opposite effect. :(
