Re: Pet Peeves?
my teens walk around the house with earbuds in. It used to really annoy me. Now, I realise that I can have a whole conversation with them without anyone answering back or being cheeky. win/win!!

I've never thought of using them as a method to avoid being disturbed :lightbulb:
You should enroll into Ol'LivingInNYC's course on Social disconnection & tricking people into thinking you're normal; when you're really just a weirdo. It's online only. Major credit cards accepted. Also cash. I probably should also clarify, the latter part is mainly my personal experience and not an insult/reflection of users on this forum. |

Mind you .... this brings me to my real pet peeve, and that is, people who now play music, watch videos or play games on their phone WITHOUT earbuds. I don't what to listen to YOUR entertainment, sorry! Happens a lot on planes. And in restaurants ... parents stick an iPhone in the hands of the kids, which is fair enough, but make the kid use earbuds ... don't impose that noise on me! Games are the worst ... stupid noises. ..

I would have totally agreed with you on this until I had kids. We do try to keep the volume down, but screens do help with keeping kids under control. Would you rather them running around , screaming?

I was thinking more about restaurants. The plane is easy in comparison, they are strapped down.

But they have alcohol on planes which works well as a sedative. Pity more parents don't use that option.

Don't you mean what kind of muppet wastes money on a business class seat on a kid where alcohol is supplied for free.
