Best thing to do is just agree with them and tell them the next available appointment is in November unless they would like to take a last minute appointment cancellation if they can get here in 30 minutes...:D

Sadly, it happens so infrequently now that I probably won't have the chance to actually do that.

What's your number? I need to schedule a dentist appointment. I could call you instead.

Had a friend whose number was similar to a busy restaurant. In the end he started taking bookings.

Did he ask for a credit card number to confirm the booking? :sneaky:

A school friend of mine used to take hair appointments for a salon with a similar phone number to his parents.

I used to have a phone number very similar to a local taxi firm. I used to screen calls with an answerphone message that started "if you want a taxi YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER". Still didn't work - I could have made a packet doing cabbing on the side.

The hot tap in my shower. When it's turned off, 'Hot' is upside down. Really irritating.

That's not a peeve, by your own admission it's only an irritation!

People who don't know the difference between a peeve and a mere irritation! :frown:

On one of the rapidly increasing number of known earth-like potentially habitable planets, which based on current projects could easily reach innumerable billions, given that most stars are now thought to have one or more planets.
