Most of the local ranges require lead free ammo for practice, and a lot require you only buy their ammo to make sure it is. As it was implied I should buy more than one box that is a heck of a lot of practice, if it had of been lead free.
Now my local outdoor one is a couple of miles away and there is usually no one there but the ones on the front range I have been to have not had those requirements. I tend to be careful with my practice, but have seen many who just seem to love pulling the trigger as fast as they can so I can see 1000 would not last that long. I probably have 1000 .22LR and would have no compunction buying a bucket at the right price. Rifle ammo at a buck plus each different situation. |

Er, the NRA believes that the people who I have described should have the right to own firearms.
Anyway, your dream candidate, Hillary, is all in on gun control (reversing her stance from 2008) and will make it one of her top wedge issues, along with the ever-trusty "Republican War on Women" and that Republicans are racist homophobe, nativist, etc, etc. So we'll have our "War on Guns." That should delight 98.7% of the good folks on this thread. We'll see how that plays out for the woman who also claims she's the most transparent politician in American history. This being Pennsylvania, hunting is very popular and lots of Democrats like their guns too. But, of course, only Republicans are stupid bitter clingers.

Do you make straw man arguments because you don't have good rebuttals, or do you lack the reading comprehension to understand what was said?

Tennessee boy allegedly kills girl in dispute over puppies: 'It's a sad, sad situation' | US news | The Guardian
Another in the sad trail of dead kids - will the boy's father be prosecuted for leaving his shotgun around? Seems to me there is a case for manslaughter. |

Wasn't the dad on some news channel questioning how he was able to get hold of 13 guns in the first place? From what I have read in here, the mother sounds a right nutter.

Re: Oregon incident.
I'm sure it will go something like "If he hadn't used a gun, he would have used a knife, so it is pointless regulating guns in any way."
These people can't even get behind laws for safe storage of deadly weapons when there are children in the house. Letting you own kids shoot themselves due to your negligence is one thing, letting them kill neighbour children is just a tragedy. |

As if killing a little girl because she wouldn't let you see her pets isn't even the issue here. Oh no, someone might want to make you store your guns safely - now we can't have that.

I tend to agree, but where could we go that would be better? Canada comes to mind, maybe New Zealand, but neither is taking immigrants that can't make major investments in their economy.
Getting serious now, that poor girl's parents are going to be beyond inconsolable. What harm would getting smart about gun ownership even do? How much more important is a person's gun to them than that girl was to her parents? Christ, even my Taylor isn't that important to me and I love that thing like it came out of me. |
