Of course he will soon be able to say he has no control over that.....

Sad, but the way things are, no different in principal to a roofing job near by, seems no roofers left locally, they can not compete with the ones out of Denver who have access to much cheaper labour.

I was thinking about what his foreign policy will be ? On one hand seems he is saying USA should disengage from "nation building" etc, on the other he will decisively eradicate ISIS etc. Waiting to see what actual plan he tries to implement.
What Trump doesn't realize or refuses to realize is that ISIS is being eradicated and by troops of countries in the middle east which is the best way to fight that war.
Eradicating ISIS by taking back the areas they now occupy is a certainty but that doesn't mean that ISIS will be eradicated in the complete sense. There could well be splinter groups which will plan attacks in the western hemisphere and that's a whole different ball game

Can't we just let these unemployed people pull themselves up by their own bootstraps or let their church help them? That's the usual Republican way. Oh wait, I forgot about giving huge company owners more money.

Hey business owners, there's a guy giving out free money and all you have to do is say you are moving your company to Mexico.

Plus if Trump's strategy of "bombing the shit" out of ISIS and "killing their families" was implemented it would radicalise a whole new set of extremists.

How does that fit in with Gordon Barlow's narrative about Obama and Hillary killing civilians, then ... ?

I'm a bit more concerned about things like this, personally. Sorry if it's just an opinion piece, I noticed it as a 'headline' on arsebook and haven't had the time to properly read it yet.

That's correct. If we pay American citizens $2 per hour, business owners will no longer need to break the law by hiring Mexicans. It's a win/win really.

Of course those citizens will then have to rely on Gubmint hand outs to be able to eat and have a roof over their heads. Those lazy bums should get a job..

It is much more complicated than that, one Roofer I knew made the point of stressing all his labour was legal. But his quotes were still higher.

Would people pay more to stay in your Hotel if you marketed it as being built with US steel?

There may be a market for products made using much more expensive labour, but it is very limited.

People always want things made in USA but few of those complaining about foreign labour are willing to actually pay extra for it.

Except for millennials - hand-crafted, locally sourced things are like crack to them.

Well you had too many words as I am sure Black Friday and Christmas shopping will substantiate.

I am reasonable sure that their percentage spend on such things is pretty low.

Actually he is in touch with reality, he wanted to win which he did, regardless of the discrepancies in his words that seem constant and unrelenting in contradictions. His opponents and detractors keep taking his words seriously- he doesn't, many if not most of his supporters don't.
