Hard to tell because as you say he's all over the shop. I see he was anti- legalization in Colorado though.

When Canabis is legalised people do have the choice to smoke it or not, on here it sounds like it is forced on everyone!!! Like Hillary was 24 hours ago !!!

On a bright note...I see that racist shitbag Sheriff Arpaio lost his reelection bid.

That's a plus. Now if only that guy in Morton County (Standing Rock) had also had to go.

Trump got less than 10% of the vote in San Francisco. I guess we are not exactly going to be high on his priority list:- other than to try and make our sanctuary city designation illegal, of course.

The Trump voters seem more furious than ever. They're still obsessing over killing/hanging/jailing Hillary. It's one thing to be a sore loser (which they were in 2008 & 2012) but they're even sore(er) winners. There is no way that Trump will be able to sustain the feeding of this beast. Even he doesn't have enough hate to satisfy their lust. When they figure it all out - they will turn on him.

I would willingly get shot of the West Coast for the same reason that I have warmed to getting shot of Scotland.

The one Trump voting Facebook friend I have has completely jumped the shark this last week. Quite amusing to watch how her count of friends has diminished as presumably they get sick of her nonsense.

But so what? First, as Pulaski mentions, it should create a buying opportunity for the portion of the accounts in cash or other cash-like funds. Presumably no sensible person at or near retirement keeps all their retirement savings in equity funds!

Secondly, the IRS is pretty generous about when you have to take income from retirement funds. Required minimum distribution starts at age 70, and the first year's RMD is set at about 3%. I'm 66, so who knows how many ups and downs will occur in markets over the next few years.
Well, after the markets accepted the reality that Trump is the President-elect, the Dow futures which had fallen 800 points last night reversed and the Dow ended up 256.95, the NASDAQ 57.59 and the S&P 23.70 - each of them up more than 1%. So did you actually lose hundreds of thousands today? I'm hoping not. Actually, if Trump's economic policies get through Congress we could see GDP growth within 18 months of between 3 - 4%, which should help your retirement accounts.
