It's not the party of Eisenhower anymore.

Even the GOP doesn't claim Donald Trump. The RNC has very tepidly endorsed him but, even this weekend, Paul Ryan was disavowing Trump's most recent remarks. Donald Trump is neither a Republican nor a conservative. If they don't even want to admit they know him, why should his opponents take him seriously?
As far as the DNC goes, the party is united and Bernie Sanders got treated better than any losing candidate ever has been. There's a stark contrast when compared to the dung-flinging-monkey-prom that was the Republican convention.

You said "to be fair" ... I thought you wanted a legitimate comparison. You asked a question but don't seem interested in the answer.

I'm on a rant because I am so p*ssed off with both nominees.

If Trump were to quit or "accidentally" fell down a lift shaft, the GOP would get to pick another candidate. I'm not sure what the specific process is for picking one, or even if there is one.

It's interesting that all these prominent Republicans are calling out Trump for the horrible things he is saying about the Khan family. However, none of them have withdrawn their endorsements.
