Either we're doing a decent job of screening potential immigrants or the threat is significantly less than what Trump is telling us. Either way it doesn't fit into the right wing pants-shitting campaign. Same thing with Mexican (illegal) immigration. Under Obama, the incoming numbers are way down and the deportations are way up ... but yet we're told a different story by Trump.
I have explained why it is mainly for show, and the Obama deportations are mainly counting those caught at the border that are returned which did not appear in the figures previously.

Like much of politics it is for show.

But you haven't explained the lack of terrorist attacks (other than 2 in 15 years) on US soil by foreign born immigrants. If it's really that easy and they are swarming into the US, why aren't there more attacks?

I know certain posters will be along in a minute to negate my comments by saying that Hillary is a liar too. The difference that I can see is that the Clinton's seem to lie mainly to protect/advance themselves, rather than just making up crazy shit for fun. This isn't very complimentary of the Clinton's but at least it makes sense.
What a scary election , two candidates that appear to be consistent liars. I saw appear for following reason. Clinton is clearly a habitual liar. But in Trump's case is it because he lies, or he just completely forgets ? Which is worse ?

They both also make claims they must know cannot be delivered on.

Trump should take a leaf out of Clinton's book and only do interviews where the questions are known beforehand and the answers have been vetted and rehearsed. Any questions that are deemed unsuitable should be thrown out.

I am not the one in charge, I know it would not be that hard, luck?, lack of effort?

Perhaps they are saving their resources for the big one?

The problem of illegal immigration is simply one of seriously improving the border control, and how to deal with people over-staying their visas. Since the amnesty under Reagan no US president Democrat or Republican has seriously undertaken to have serious border control improvements. Border control will help not only the US but also Mexico. And in the US those who will benefit the most are Latinos in lower paid jobs as over time with reduced new illegals their wages will rise, simple supply and demand. Trump offers a path towards border control, I have yet to hear how Clinton would improve border control- and media wont pose that question to her.

Conversely, I don't think anyone on right or left, or even Trump himself , seriously believes the USA will deport 10 million people.

Hate to say it as I am not a Rubio supporter but his analysis I believe correct- firmly improve border control, but then establish a path towards legality of those who meet criteria of staying in the country.

Yes he should. People who are much smarter than myself have been telling him that for a year. But he would get less TV time if he did that and might not always be the center of attention and that is something he cannot bear. Besides, he says more crazy shit in his constant twittering than anything any reporters have ever asked him.

A few months ago I read debating him is her worst nightmare. As with the interviews she like to have control of the questions and answers and debates are unpredictable. Seems to me it's her chance to put an end to him once and for all. All she has to do is either make him go off on a rant...which shouldn't take much effort...or manipulate the situation so he is seen as a bully...as happened with Rick Lazio.

I wonder if the subject of this report will have an effect on the election. Certainly on the campaign, I would think. If the FBI has access to Hillary's "missing" emails (as this ex-NSA man says) and doesn't go after them, there will be embarrassing questions asked.

I don't buy it. He has not worked there for 15 years. I also have my doubts that NSA would spy on the State Dept.

I find it odd that there are foreigners on an expats board who would be grousing about other foreigners.

Then again, those individuals fail to see the irony in it, so perhaps they have adapted better to American culture than even I have (which is impressive, since I'm from here.)

So if it was just about baby photos and recipes why is the Caped Crusader making such a big deal over the E-mails? What we really need to see are his tax returns
