2016 Election

I'm not one for the conspiracy theories, but the timing of this is awfully convenient after Sanders picked up two major endorsements yesterday.

Power respects power. If Putin likes Trump it's because Putin sees a man who projects power.
We don't need to get into another cold war situation with Russia. We have a mutual interest in defeating ISIS,
As for Assad haven't we learned already that toppling middle east strongmen only leads to chaos afterwards? If and when the situation in the middle east is ever restored to something like normal lets get out and let the Muslim world run itself

So, Sanders is getting access back. This could actually work out in Bernie's favour. 1) He has got more publicity in the last day than has has in months. 2) If he successfully spins it that the DNC is in the tank for Hillary, then he shows what he's been saying about the system being corrupt is true, and maybe pick up support from those that are tired of the current system.
Tonight's debate might actually be interesting if this comes up.

IMO Wasserman Shultz should step down. She's proven herself to be completely incapable of neutrality. She was on the talk shows last night throwing Bernie under the bus. Completely inappropriate.

For those that are not brainwashed into thinking only micro government is acceptable, Bernie demonstrates some social conscience and integrity. Not sure how he would be on foreign policy, but on domestic matters he certainly seems viable.

This is textbook Democratic foreign policy. Obama could have written it. That's all fine and good during peaceful times but everybody is jumpy about terrorism right now. We'll have to see how the Democratic primary voters feel about it at this moment in time. And, of course, the national mood could change by voting time.
Foreign policy should be the focus of tonight's debate. If so, we'll see what Bernie says when pressed.

Not really much long term history of it running itself, though. I don't really know when the Ottoman colonial rule started, but several hundred years ago. Then you had League of Nations/ British/ French colonial rule followed by "strongmen," mostly our clients. Pity we didn't befriend Nasser instead of going to war with him...

Since foreign policy isn't really a part of his stump, unless he's changed it recently, (I haven't watched one of his rallies in months) I went to his website:

Bernie vs Rubio would be a welcome and sensible contest.

His statement in that link is spot on. The problem is Bernie would be eaten alive by Trump if they both succeeded in the primaries, whereas I think Hilary has the killer political instinct to deal with Trump if that were the scenario.
