A Puka pie, a decent game (tongue in cheek watching Derby) but it was a good evening!
Three h8undred zillion billion for a striker.... b ollo##s! Man U, Man City and Chelsea ... sorry to say but f##k em! They've spoilt football! Come on Wolves

It will only be properly spiced up when other clubs are able to seriously compete at the top.
As things stand it appears to be still heading in the same old direction with the gap continuing to widen.

Here is a story for RugbyMatt,, from the DM, its actually so unreal it could be true
Given that it’s Arsene Wenger-huntin’ season at the moment, a story has conveniently bubbled it’s way to the surface this morning which suggests the Arsenal manager indulged in a spot of jiggery pokey with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-team minutes last season in order to circumvent a clause in his contract that apparently stated the Gunners’ had to pay The Ox’s former club Southampton £10,000 every time the young midfielder played more than 20 minutes in a game.
Writing in the Mail, Neil Ashton claims to have the inside line on the revelations, spouting thus:
“Wenger’s detailed knowledge of every player’s contract even created an issue when Oxlade-Chamberlain was making substitute appearances for Arsenal last season.
“Written into the England winger’s deal is a clause stating that Arsenal must pay Saints £10,000 every time Oxlade-Chamberlain appears for more than 20 minutes.
“Incredibly a trend emerged, with Wenger bringing him off the bench after 72 minutes (v Stoke), 73 minutes (Liverpool), 72 minutes (Coventry), 65 minutes (Norwich), 76 minutes (Fulham), 86 minutes (Tottenham), 67 minutes (Swansea), 73 minutes (West Ham), 71 minutes (Swansea), and 75 minutes (Reading).
“Arsenal’s accounts department were stunned to receive an email from Southampton demanding payment for the appearances, with the south coast club justifying their argument based on stoppage time.
“Eventually Arsenal agreed to pay for the appearances and the story worked its way around the offices at the Emirates with bafflement among staff.â€
Now, as far as we’re concerned this smacks of a journo, desperate for a hook, who’s taken a cursory glance at Oxlade-Chamberlain’s appearance record last season, noticed a “sub-20 minute†trend and concocted himself a story from there – going on to gripe at length about Wenger “drowning in Arsenal’s tired old transfer formula.â€
Who knows, maybe there is something in the Ox/clause rumours, but even if so, surely Wenger is not the one to blame as it wouldn’t be his place to insert such a clause in the first place? That’d be the Arsenal legal dept. or the chief executives (i.e, Ivan Gazidis) or whoever is responsible for pushing these deals through. Hey ho. Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter.
As we say, it’s Arsene-huntin’ season again. Go get your fill.

Its a shame it has got this way though, all feeder clubs now, its sad.
You can see attendances slipping while watching the games, Sevilla on Sunday night looked half empty, I used to go there a fair bit and it was an amazing place, I had some amazing nights in Sevilla after a match.

Valencia used to be the only team capable of offering a serious challenge but now they've gone to the dogs and are so deep in debt that they are virtually owned by the bank which is just as deep in the mire itself.
The Prem should be far more interesting this time around.

RM have a great team for the CL but I think AM have a better team for La Liga, we will see.
I loved the Di Canio issue today, I think him and Simeone are similar but the Argie has his head in the right place.

I see Barca are cradle snatching in Sweden now.
Nice to see Man ure get turned over by City, makes things interesting.
Poor misunderstood Paolo on his bike I see, big bust up with the players was the last straw apparently.
Di Matteo strong favourite to replace him in the hot seat, if he fancies the job that is.

He gave us some unforgettable scenes with that 3-0 drubbing of Newcastle last season. I think he is just misunderstood, maybe too much too soon, Swindon where he did a amazing job to the EPL, a big jump.
Is it the end of him ? Whilst at Swindon a West Ham fans hoped to net him at some point, I don't know if they still feel the same.

He made the mistake of washing dirty linen in public at the end of last season regarding some players who had stepped out of line and they never forgot.
The end came after a big bust up with the players on the training field yesterday.
Most previous coaches at Sunderland have been criticised for being to complacent and easy going.
If anything I think Di Canios mistake was pushing too hard to try and change around the mindset at the club too quickly.
