I'm no fan of Chelsea, nor Terry come to that, but it was an awful back pass to him that had him stretching then slipping. Hardly his fault, but then perhaps I don't get the same enjoyment as some at someone's misfortune. As a neutral I thought it was a great game of football, a credit to both teams. RVP is on a roll, that's a few more noughts on his contract being discussed.

A bit rich coming from someone who regularly gloats here at any misfortune affecting the Spanish.

Personally I thought it was a sad way for such a game to be decided.
How many times has the over rated Beckham done exactly the same or just about any other player in football for that matter ?
In any event it was definitely not a stupid mistake of his own making, as we see occasionally see when a top player puts through his own goal or makes an absolutely blatant error.

Capello or any other manager should be able to decide who is his captain or in their team for that matter without interference until and unless found guilty of a serious offence.
The next Manager now has to be chosen on his acceptance that the FA can debar players that it does not think should play for England.
It just seems odd too me and I don't think the FA has thought it through.
