Faster and more lively, much more of a mans game.

I agree rugby can be very entertaining. The only problem is if you watch with supporters of rugby. They invariably revert to a boring dialogue of how rubbish football is, and how much better rugby is etc etc etc. I'm sure that not all rugby fans are the same, but life's too short to find out for sure!

The popularity of football, (dare I say the beautiful game, lol,..though not as played in Spain last week of course), speaks for itself.

We had a family from Worcester watching the rugby while having Sunday lunch and drinking lots of beer. They made loads of noise and watched every second of a thrilling encounter.
Immediately following this a few football fans watched the football while drinking coffee and coco cola. I say watched - they actually chatted the whole way through only glancing at the screen every so often and swearing at the ref.

Anyway I'm pleased that the grass wasn't too wet for the game to go ahead.

An improvement on the first leg at least, though very scrappy towards the end.
Pity that Reals early second half attempt was disallowed,..could have made for an interesting game with just one goal in it.
Two other things of note.
First, where was Mourinho ?
Second, why did the Barca players not show a bit compassion and sportsmanship at the end of the game with a few customary handshakes instead of totally ignoring the dejected losers.
A very sad ending I thought.

Oh and one other thing.
Why on earth do clubs of Barcas standing not have a bit consideration for their fans by allowing them a roof over their heads, instead of them having to pay a fortune to get in, only to stand out there like drowned rats all night ?
....and please don't tell me it hardly ever rains in Spain.
Ah yes almost forgot, it almost all goes on players wages and transfer fees, so bugger the fans that the clubs are supposed to be all about.

A professional performance from Man U reserves last night to cruise into the Champions League final.
When I saw the teamsheet I thought Fergie had taken a huge unnecessary gamble, but as usual he got it about right.
Thankfully no great problems, no childishness an no ill feeling as in the el classicos.
I hope that EUFA clamp down hard on Real and Barca and they both learn to conduct themselves with a little more dignity in future.
Hopefully we can look forward to a great final for once regardless who wins, though Barca must remain as strong favourites despite Utds improved form which should see them at least turn on a better display than in their last meeting.
