have to laugh at these "figures".,
after all, the people concerned would still be employed on other tasks, such as issueing speeding fines etc but no one asks how much that costs.
perhaps a few are seeing this as a way of uping their expenses

This geezer I know works for a tabloid in London and tells me that the police have a list as long as ( whatever simile fits) and are waiting for supposed victims to come forward before making moves.

or the police ignoring it ??
I thought a police officer was required to action all law breaking, not make a decision on the rights or wrongs of the case - which is left to the courts
