I never liked that song. As an aside newspapers are not very good at mopping up dog sick.

The head of Russia's Football Union, Sergei Fursenko, has put the blame for clashes between Russian and Polish fans on Tuesday firmly on the Poles.

"Polish ultras are known for their disobedience," he said

Strange he would say that given the fact that the Russian supporters held a banner up during the game saying "This is Russia", referring to Poland.

One could understand it if it was the Germans.

(I see Poland might play Germany in Gdansk/Danzig in the quarter-final)

Why would it be any different? Russia invaded Poland and occupied it for more that 130 years, far longer than Germany ever did and they committed just as many, if not more atrocities, not to mention the Cold War occupation. Many Russians still see Poland as simply a province of Russia.

All that cain, I'm really looking forward to Germany playing in Poland, I have a whole book worth of jokes just itching to be aired!

The Poland of today lost territory to the Soviet Union, it did not gain it.

Ok... Ive been at work and had a bit of a shit day and had to take the dog to the vets so I have probably only broken even today and I am now sat with a Jack but no matter how many times I read that comment I fail to see why it is relevant to my non point. Confused yet?
