ECJ DECLARE STREAMING BBC/ITV ILLEGAL

I would only watch maybe two or three programmes a month. I appreciate that as I don't have a TV licence there should be a charge. I don't want to subscribe, I want a sensibly-priced pay-per-view service that works on PCs. Is that too much to ask?

Yes I know, but it is an app that only works on Apple hardware. Hence my comment "not everyone wants to fork out for an iPad".

Domino, so sorry, I got it wrong!
For TV programmes, can't you just use Netflix? It's coming to Spain sometime this year

Yes I would like the same for football matches. I would happily pay 5-10 euros per game, for those I wanted to watch, either through cable or on the internet

I think that the major problem with all this is that as someone said earlier, the so called providers the likes of us are dealing with are actually Stealing the programmes and selling on without making a payment to the originator or their "middle-man".
The technology is moving forward in leaps and bounds. The public are demanding instant communication, both in and out. The biggest problem is that the owners of the content are not moving forward fast enough - they are sluggish mega-corps, they just cannot keep up with the changes, so they are still living in the legal boundaries of the 80's & 90's. This is further muddled with the different territories and countries having conflicting "local" rules and regulations. So what is acceptable within the EU isn't acceptable in Morrocco, or vice versa. Then there is the problem of licences which cover territories/countries and cover X years and Y transmissions in that period.
I am sure that, as was described in Sci-Fi stories decades ago, that the consumer will be able to dial up for the latest football match or Corrie on a pay per view basis. But that at the moment is being further confounded by the changes within the satellite telecoms where providers are still retrenching.
It will come, just that it won't be today or tomorrow. Some think it will be next year or the year after. Some think even longer.
In the meantime they are having to fight on another front to stop people stealing the content and making it available early.
I haven't got a problem, I don't miss TOWIE, Corrie, EE, and all the other aphagetty rubbish that is around (never watched them in the UK). And I don't miss sleeping through football with instant replay.
I like to think I have a life - perhaps some will say I don't.
But I can't speed up the processes of the broadcasters so like everyone else I have to put up with it.
Just don't stop me from listening to R4 Today, that really would be a breach of my Human Rights.

What did people do before FilmOn, not like it's been around forever....Everyone is freakin out here...Can't go wrong with a bit of torrenting, once you have a stock you can choose your evenings, come on people it's not the 80's in Spain - Today..
I use a 2.4MTR dish with a Humax DVR 1TB, no loss of signal, subtitles work, day OR night. No re-broadcast, straight from the UK. I'm in CBS right on the edge and even with the new SAT changes still good to go. I know not everyone can place a 2.4MTR at their Villa or Condo - or a dish, but still there are always opertunities.
DSB.

I hugely prefer satellite over internet TV - anytime. When you have the right kit, it works very very well - and the quality is a good as you can get - without all the techno mumbo-jumbo you have to go through to get lesser quality via internet.
I just found an Android-based Sat receiver at a local shop - and cheap, too. Supposedly combines HD satellite reception with all the stuff you get with Android TV. Anyone had any experience with these?
By the way, hubby bought an Android TV box for €69. All I can say is so far is that it's brilliant. Really amazing little box for €69.

We will have to see, but it will be up to the owners of the TV broadcast to detect that you are in the UK, as ITV Player are now doing by requesting your PO box number, which will need to match your IP address.
We had better hope that FilmOn continues, or else it's hello to all of those wonderful Spanish programs!

Get Real you say !!
Think it is you that should Get Real !!
Where can Human Rights be used because someone wants to restrict you from getting your grubby mitts on their property ??

Products like expatshield are actually part of the thieves toolkit, where you want the rights to trawl for what you want with anonymity, to break in through the back door without leaving your fingerprints.
And NO, I DO NOT WATCH UK TV PROGRAMS, AS I HAVE SAID MANY TIMES ON THIS FORUM - I ONLY WATCH SPANISH TERRESTIAL.

Secure internet browsing is what these programs are about, not for watching UK TV.

To watch the program using something like Expat Shield, you will need to know the PO BOX number of the IP address that you are using.

Try viewing any of this weeks programs on ITV Player, and you will find that they now want your PO BOX number before you can access the program.

Internet TV will still be available using progs like Expat Shield, Astrill etc.
These programs are not transmitting anything, they are simply assisting people with their internet security by hiding their true location. How we use these programs is down to us!!!
Another point, is that the FilmOn company does retransmit programs, but is an American company, and is outside of European control !!!

Filmon is an American company that already has had legal issues with retransmitting with US companies such as CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox. They are taking UK transmissions illegally and streaming them to the world, charging the likes of you and others. This is THEFT, but that is something you seem to condone and from other things you have said are actually pushing other people into. I believe you should be telling people that what they are doing is illegal.
Irrespective of the use of VPN's that use servers in defined countries to gain the benefit of that that IP address or use "blank" IP's not even American companies can hide from the NSA, GCHQ and a couple of others, who take great delight in breaking their algorithms for breakfast.
The only secure computer is one that has NO connection with the internet.

you will find that ExpatShield is a program, the owner of that program is an American company called AnchorFree, headquarters in Silicon Valley. They provide an HTTPS service to enable companies that sort and filter users by their IP address to stop illegal use of their facilities. The same way as a private club filters visitors to ensure those who enter are paying their membership. Remember, BBC is funded from the Licence Fee.

Yes it is an American company, and as such is outside of the jurisdiction of the ECJ, so is not likely to disappear. They are filling a gap in the telecommunication business by providing programs that are all easily accessed without the need of a bogus IP address.
As you have seen in other posts, people are prepared to pay the BBC & commercial companies to receive UK television, but they choose not to go down that route. It's called "Cutting off your nose to spite your face" and as far as I'm concerned, they get no sympathy from me!
It seems strange to me, that the commercial TV companies, who receive no monies from their TV audiences (so what is the difference between them and the internet streamer?), don't jump at the chance to advertise their clients products across the European continent!!!
Also, do you know that the Spanish TV companies that you support, are paying for the English speaking programs that they broadcast. If they don't, I hope that you will not continue to watch them.
In fact as a man of principal, I think you should not watch them until you have verified that they do pay!!!
