As i've never met or spoken to Graham,and dont have his email that would prove difficult?.
Have been doing a search on the thread for the info required and given up after a few hours.but remember some one on the thread last year discussing it,and getting a helpful reply. Not sure who it was hence the open question.

Went to restaurant featured in new free magazine going about, Eastern Algarve, on the road from Tavira to Cachopo. It is about half an hour from Tavira, a very picturesque run, in a place called Alcaria do Cume. Well worth a visit. Owned by a very friendly Dutch couple, we had a lovely lunch there, although you can just have a coffee or ice cream. But what makes it special is the view from the terrace which is absolutely stunning. There is also a laybye just before restaurant with picnic tables for those who prefer to do own thing, also with great views. Can anyone tell us is it worth carrying on to Cachopo, anything worth seeing?

Hi Ken
How are you? See you are busy on the Golf Courses.
The festival is on in October and its not really much to write home about. Lots of stalls with household items and lots of Umbrellas.
Its worth a visit over, last Ferry back and out for something to eat.
Hope you and Pam are well.

This is the beach that streches fromVRStO all the way to Cacela via Monte Gordo Pria Verde Altura and Manta Rota. We love the boardwalk at Monte Gordoand coffe afterwards in the pedestrian area but our favorite bit is the stretch from Pria Verde to Monte Gordo just that the posh cafe at Pria Verde is expensive for meals and coffee.

LInda and I are out in CE from Saturday 25th to Monday 4th and hope to meet some of you
If you see a couple in the Club looking around hopefully then please make yourselves known (might even buy a drink). Even if it's not us you will probably make some new friends

Hola!
We too can vouch for the good food and service at SE in Manta Rota.
We ordered the Arroz dish (Can't remember the portuguese name of the dish, however, it was like cataplana) between the three of us. This dish takes a bit longer to serve, as it is cooked from fresh. Meanwhile, we polished off the fresh goat's cheese (mild) with pan portugues, delicious olives (all for me!), and sardine pate.
Re: pan portugues. I've seen it for sale in Ayamonte. What is the difference between it and una barra? Softness?
The tarta de almendras was moist and packed full of almonds, and perhaps some other nuts, topped with a drizzle of almibar (syrup).
There is a new (-ish?) version of the free town maps for Ayamonte, IC & Punta del moral, VRdSA, MGordo, Manta Rota, and I think also Castro Marim. Very useful. Picked it up at the prensa in Plaza Laguna. Included Maestre Romulo (JonBxl's recommendation - but, WHERE is it?
)

Yes, I think it's the same. However, when we were driving we couldn't find the turn off for Monte Francisco!
