Obviously she should have asked the question on for example "How many donkeys are there in Benidorm" thread. This way she could have kept everyone happy. But no,she blundered by asking the question on the CE thread. How daft is that. Now everybody on CE I want you to stop earning a living, going out meeting friends, enjoying life, and sit in front of your PC and bang away at those keys asking and answering questions that are relevant to you and your circumstances vis a vis the donkey question. |

Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
Karen has her map all sorted out, thanks to Google. Back to the topic of this thread ? I vaguely recall it´s about Ayamonte, Costa Esuri, Isla Canela...
There have been rumours about dredging going on at the Marina Isla Canela for the long awaited extension and a bridge between Isla Cristina and Isla Canela (God help us) and ofcourse Semana Santa (Easter) is coming up. Any insights there? |

Any insights there? I know you take your role of promoting the area on this (and other) forums seriously, but come on. I know you to have a little more intelligence. Canela Bridge?????? Yeah...just as the Airport is being built, with the AVE train pulling up to Ayamonte centre!!!!!! Technically, yes - there will be a bridge between Ayamonte and Isla Cristina (which expats muppets have confused YET AGAIN) in that there will be a bridge to bypass Pozo del Camino (the part that falls under Ayamonte juristiction) and across the water to Isla Cristina. Though, despite repeated FALSE rumours, there will be no bridge to Canela. Oh, sure if they could find a way, the approval and the money I'm sure they'd think about it. How many years do you think that will take????!!!!! They need a road to circumvent Ayamonte centre - Approved and in planning, they need a dual carriageway to Isla Cristina - again approved and in planning. They need an access to the motorway from Islantilla - once again, approved and in this case underway. These are the most important links that were promised in 2001 to be finished 2003. Here we are in 2009 and they are not even started (except Islantilla) |

Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
I assume you are on about the Eroski site down in Portil?
Only know as much as you in that when Eroski finally saw that Esuri was a non starter, they made plans for a much bigger place down on the Portil-Rompido coast, with units for other traders too. Makes more sense given the proximity of Punta Umbria and the motorway link to the city from the coast. |
Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
Just snippet I picked up this morning in IKEA Sevilla. Chatting to the staff whilst waiting for an order and they asked where we were from and I said Ayamonte to which they unpromted replied we are going to open a store much nearer to you in 4 yes four years time to serve the west of the Junta and the eastern Algarve. In Cartaya they said!

I beg to differ, we went everyday when we were at Esuri even if it was a little more expensive.
He even made chocolate Croissant for my daughters birthday and would let her pay! Ray The more people who use it may prompt some other people to open some more bars and shops.if that happens then you will have a realy nice place with atmosphere and you will have no need to go all the way into the town.(to all that know me.I have been converted. I actualy like the place now) |
