Ah,yes.Thank you Jur. So it's another one of those invented names for the Wuckfits who aren't happy with the name those darned pesky trouble-making Spaniards saw fit to give it.

Hi John

Im guessing that getting an internet connection at home isnt easy and so you need to go to the club. Im guessing only. because I suppose you intend to get connected up in your villa as you plan to spend a lot of time there.

Is it a problem getting ADSL or other connected up?

Hope all is well

Jon

Your right on all counts but my laptop is 10 years old and can,t cope with all the wiz bangs todays web pages have. I will get a hard connection but not yet am now on the free internet at Monte Gordo is is blindingly fast. You tipped us off about the one at the sports club and this is the same. No problem getting the connection but it is not cheap compared to UK.

The way I see it the expat forums are like a small town with lots of different bars. You get some guys who go to the same bar every night, his local. He knows he is going to meet some people he knows and gets on with, he gets on well with the barman there are some people there he doesn't like but he chooses to ignore them.

Now there are others who prefer to go bar hopping and pop into several different bars every night, they try to persuade their mate out of his regular bar but he really has no interest in going elsewhere.

So why don't we leave the ones who want go to their local alone and stop giving them grief. Those who wish to bar hop are free to do so.

I have met many people who read the forum and never post because they fear people having a pop. The lady asking for directions is a prime example, she wanted directions to CE so she puts it on the CE thread how much more on topic and appropriate can you get.

I have also met many people who don't read the forum because of the nonsense that kicks of every now and again. I think the owner(s) or someone with a commercial interest in the site should take note. I don't know the stats but I'm sure this is one of the most visited threads. Other forums are becoming more and more popular with ex BE posters.

Anyway then I got thinking and the entrepreneur in me came out. So I'm opening a new bar (thread) for all those people who don't like this bar, it's called 'I don't like CE or the CE thread', especially for those people who wish to slag of CE.

Brilliant idea Jag. Lets hope the embittered little Druid and his sad mates bugger off once and for all and leave this thread to those that matter.

Yes, I have had alot of recomendations from the forum, for which I am very grateful, but I have never asked anybody to post on my behalf.

I only bought the bar last June, during a moment of temporary insanity, but I have actually been posting on the forum for many years and certainly have not just joined to promote my own business.

I think they meant Dwarf instead of Druid........ calling someone a druid isnt exactly the worse insult you can throw at someone, even among the elderly conservative of Esuri........
