Yes, but it is good to let others know just in case they are leaving their valuables outside.

On a similar note (just making people aware) we were over last week and met a friend of a friend who had his Rago 1 apartment broken into. I think it was Block 3, Portal 2 or the other way around. It was done during the month of October and they broke into the ground floor apartment through the lounge shutters/doors. They stole the TV, Sat Box, plus a few other bits and turned the rest of the place over making a right mess.

Talking to a few other people, they say it is not difficult to open the shutters from the outside. They advise having some extra bolts on the inside of them. Once the shutters are open, one good kick will release the inside doors.

Sorry to report bad news, but I thought you should all be aware.

I have to say it doesn`t help if people post address´s and when they have just left or when they are arriving. This is an open forum and anybody can read the info on it, so be very careful about personal info posted.

even if you put bars all you do is use a hydrolic jack and spread the bars but having said that they will pick another house.
just a sudjestion.
re enforce your bottom slatt on your blinds.fit sidway bolts.taking care that you cant hook some bent wire through the bottom to pull the bolts back.if you just put the bolts on the plastic all you have to do is bull it bowed and the bolts pop out.and get a good noisy alarm and a motion detector light.noise and bright lights scare people off.to secure that should not be a problem.even I wouldnt be able to get in.(only kidding)

Much of these robberies tend to be done by local workers, low paid Gardeners and security etc. They know exactly who is and isn't there. A friends was burgled and was only out 30 mins to collect her Son from school. A building worker across the Road was eventually charged but he had robbed 6 homes in a few months.

yes agree but the bigest problem is that people let there guard down.they think ahh this is spain.no crime.some times there may be no crime but some times people make the crime irasistible to a few.like you wouldnt take a stash of 3000 euro out of your pocket in a crowded bar to buy a 1 euro beer, you would be asking to get mugged even by any police having a drink at the same bar

The answer to your question may lie in this link. Depending upon what deal you have with the bank you might have to wait for the annual review that sets your repayments for the forthcoming 12 months.

The good news is that the Euribor is coming down as announced this morning as has our BOE lending rate, but maybe not as low.

MADRID, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Spanish house prices dropped 6.5 percent in October from a year earlier, the eighth consecutive month of declines as a property sector slump deepened, an industry report showed on Tuesday.

The fall follows a decline of 4.9 percent in September, property surveyor group Tinsa said.

Statistics on Spanish property prices vary greatly, with the Housing Ministry reporting a 1.3 percent drop in the third quarter from a quarter earlier and an annual rise of 0.4 percent.

Housing Minister Beatriz Corredor said on Monday during a television interview on Antena 3 that property prices in Spain have fallen by at least 15 percent in the last year, according to data she had seen.

In a survey conducted by Reuters at the end of September, house prices were seen dropping 3 percent this year and 9 percent in 2009.

Tinsa said prices in October fell the most in coastal areas, down 8.9 percent, followed by metropolitan areas, down 7.6 percent.

:)In our ADA newsletter for Marina Esuri Pueblo Andaluz, the English version says that the meeting with the Mayor of Ayamonte has been promoted by ADA Administration and together with all the presidentsof the intercommunities at Costa Esuri. The Spanish version says that this meeting has been promoted by the Presidente together with all the presidents of the Intercommunities at Costa Esuri. A mistake ?:confused:

anyway different subject.does any one know if the roumor is true.the little shop at esuri was held up by gun point a couple of weeks ago by some eastern europeans.

Yes. I have it from my friend who lives there full time that our little shop was indeed held up at gun point but she reckons the owner thought they were latin american and they spoke spanish to him. It happened just after the last customers left and he was closing up and by all accounts it has really shaken him up. He has decided to close at about 7.30pm in future.
