Brunswick just has a great 'vibe' about it and a real Cosmopolitan feel to it.

Lots of cafe's/ bars,vintage and 2nd hand clothes shops and book shops,large park (Princes Park amongst others)) easy...

Public transport to Sunshine wouldnt be a problem.
Train from Brunswick (Upfield line) to North Melbourne then change to Watergardens line and short walk to the...

I bought a large map of Australia when i arrived so I could mark off all the places I visited as I went along. Pinned up on my dining room wall so I can mark off any places i still want to visit...

I've flown 6 times in the last 4 years GLA-DUB-MEL and back and managed to upgrade myself to Business twice and my mum to 1st class once.

I think my good experience here has been helped by the fact that I work with a lot of nurses from the UK and NZ, in a similar position to me of travelling alone to the other side...
