Yes, my friend (who received the email above) finally managed to get through this morning and make his booking. So we've still got 3 months to make Star Alliance bookings.

Re: Moving to Brisbane for 1 year

What sort of information do you need? Do you know where you will be living? UQ has several campuses (campi?) but I expect you will be at St Lucia which is on the river 6km SW of the CBD. Best way...

Re: families splitting up in oz

With hindsight I can see that when we emigrated it was with the subconscious thought that a new start might save the marriage - although I personally hadn't realised how bad it was getting. We...

Re: Property + House developments

That is true for what are advertised as "House and land packages" where a developer has bought up some old farmland, subdivided it and is selling off the house blocks: you then select a house plan...

Re: Edinburgh to Sydney

just bear in mind that when people say "Sydney" they may include anywhere out to Penrith (50km), Liverpool (30km) or Hornsby (20km) - and those are long distances in peak hour travel!

Re: Business Class Airfares to UK / Europe - approx $2700 - $2800 rtn!

Simple answer - you won't! We flew first Sydney-Rome and back London-Sydney earlier this year, and I just can't imagine doing the same journey in cattle class. Thai all the way and the service was...

Re: Business Class Airfares to UK / Europe - approx $2700 - $2800 rtn!

As Louie said, it depends on the booking clerk you get. I've had large problems with one Dividend Miles girl, phoned back to a different girl and nothing was too much trouble.

Re: Business Class Airfares to UK / Europe - approx $2700 - $2800 rtn!

Re: A Very Large family moving to Aussie

With 12 children I would not recommend inner suburbs as you will need lots of space outside the house as well as inside.
