No, we didnt have contact with them, just send it through DHL ourselves.

Yes we did it. The passport is sent to and from HK by DHL from memory. From there, I understand, they send it to the UK. All very straightforward and easy. Cant remember what it cost, dont think...

Ideally you would want to have your UK licence to convert to a Malaysian one. You wont be able to simply convert a Malaysian licence to a UK one upon your return.

I stayed with the kids at Tanjung Rhu, a really lovely resort on the Northern part of the island. There was hardly anyone there so it felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time....
