This is quiet strange bro, If you request a code and If they cannot assign you with that code, they normally reject you! but seems youre lucky to have some code instead getting rejected!!!

pls apply for ACS before 13th August. I applied lastweek for 261319(S4) and praying it'll come on a SMP. Not on NSW...but praying for all other states!!!

Hope everybody who got the ASCO code 2231-79 (specialization) sent for re-assessment into a suitable ANZSCO code. Sometimes the ANZSCO you have mentioned might be already mapped in the DIAC SOL...

Probably, I'll be moving there mate, If you have any idea just drop some points on IT (programming jobs) demand over there. As per seek.com I feel its only a few compared with NSW and VIC :(

NSW is very tough in giving sponsorships, and living cost (rents) very high!

I'm thinking Vic, QLD or ACT as potential destinations!!

My occupation 2231-79 (J2EE) once mapped to ANZSCO is in schedule 4
If I re-assess I can get into ANZSCO for Software Engineer & hopefully move to schedule...

As per fuel4mind it is safe to apply early n be safe, but did ACS told you that you can get a free re-assessment irrespective of the date of your latter ?? :confused:

Looks scary!

Any idea on further changes to the point test and when those will take effect? I'm assuming that there won't be more changes within 2010-2011 plan started on 1st July.
