The further you get away from the downtown, the better it gets.

The South & South West (Tuxedo, Riverheights,Lindenwoods, Charleswood) are the most expensive areas.

If you want a really good burger and "skinny" fries go to Kolakis's on Main, just south of Redwood. Nothing to look at, but the foods good (diner style) and frequented by many a Hollywood star...

The other "must visit`Ice Cream place is the "BDI" the Bridge Drive In on Jubilee, this is more famous, and some say better.

If your a Strongbow fan, don't get too excited. The Manitoba Liquor Commission treats Strongbow as if it were a wine, so its a silly price. It is available in bottles, The Kings Head used to have it...

The Toad in Osbourn Village is about as close to the feel of a British Pub as its is possible to get in Canada. The foods pretty good too.

Dillon O'Conners (an Irish pub) is right next door to Raging Brit.

Dillon caters to the younger crowd, The Brit to those who want better food and less noise:D

Depends what you want from a City really.

We chose it as it had everything we wanted, a reasonable size with enough amenities, without loads of traffic and hassle. Its a good place to...
