Re: Been back 2 months

Hi Louise

Sorry to hear you are confused! I think most people who emigrate are because you are never 100% sure if you have done the right thing or not.

It was a joint decision for us to move...

Re: Been back 2 months

Re: Back in the UK - 4 days update!

After 2 and a half years away, we had forgotten the variety of shopping that's available here - far more than there was in WA.

We'd also forgotten how small the roads are and how muddy everything...

Re: Back in the UK - 4 days update!

Hi

Ingleby is basically the same - lots of houses and not much space between them! There are a lot more apartments and semi-detached houses too to make it more affordable for first home buyers.

We had exactly the same negative thoughts about the UK when we left. We had absolutely no intention of returning once we got our visa...........

After over 2 years in Australia, we realize just...

Re: Gone back to UK for holiday & changed your mind about returning?

Thankfully, we have finally made the decision to move back to the UK, so I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! The indecision was all consuming - thinking about where to live all...

Re: Finally...we have a date for going home!

Thanks - that's good advice that I read somewhere else on here a while ago. When we first move back, we will be living with my parents for a short while, so I asked them to include us on their...

Wow! That's amazing! We haven't met anyone in Perth from our local UK area. It would have been nice to - just to start off with something in common. We plan to return to the same "new" bit of...

Re: Who to contact when back in the UK?

Hi Don

What a lovely place! It looks very similar to the area we are heading back to - TS17 5AL.

Hope you will keep us all up-to-date on how you find life back in the UK.

Love

Gill xx
