Re: can you buy your dental xrays

I'm an ex-dental nurse. You can definitely ask for them. If they are digital x-rays, the practice will have a copy on record, anyway. When I worked at an orthodontist, we would scan the x-rays in...

Re: Perth-Gas Fire Advice

We have a Rinnai we bought on special at Retravision. It's amazing. We used to have a flued gas log fire (looked like you had logs burning etc) and this thing is much more efficient and easier to...

Re: Should we still consider moving to Perth?

Sorry, wrote a long reply but thought I was a little unfair. In short, the answer would have to be, 'no.' Most of our time is spent with family or friends we met in the UK. They live in all different...

Re: Should we still consider moving to Perth?

Perhaps you should say something like, 'Some people I have met....'. I can categorically say that NO person I have met thinks like this. Or if they do, I haven't noticed it. No person I socialise...

Re: Should we still consider moving to Perth?

I only heard of this club the other day. Some of the wives of my husband's colleagues have joined. Not really my cup of tea. I talk about my husband's work enough (too much!!) at home without seeking...

Re: Should we still consider moving to Perth?

I was referring more to what seems to see his standard point of view that 'professionals' or people on a high income refuse to mix with people who are not 'professionals' or on a lower income. Or...

Re: Should we still consider moving to Perth?

I find it sad that you have such a distorted/low view on Perth 'locals'. I'm a Perth local (kind of) and I don't live in the 'outer suburbs' but I have friends all over Perth. I'm heading out to...

Re: suburbs in perth - advice please!

I'd vote for Freo. I love Fremantle. But that's me. You'd have to check it out for yourself. And there are some very nice beaches within striking distance from there. (Coogee?) Although Freo has good...

Re: suburbs in perth - advice please!

I'm a bit confused. Doesn't take much, I know. I was under the impression that you're too young to remember the Sunday sesh at the White Sands?

Re: New perth arrivals require help please

Have just received our electricity bill the other day. It was $235 for two months. The one before that was $240. Average sized four bedroom house with ducted evaporative air conditioning, no pool...

Re: Renting Houses with pets

It's not necessarily the agent who decided if you are allowed pets or not, it's the owner. It can be hard to find somewhere that will allow pets.

Re: Can someone sell Perth (and Oz) to me!

Yes. ALL of them. Every last one of them. My mixed race husband and children can barely bring themselves to leave the house for fear of being subject to racial hatred.:blink:

They (Well, Paul Keating) abolished negative gearing and it didn't work.

Re: Where to buy a cocktail dress in Perth

Have you tried Brazen in Bunbury? Next door to the Commonwealth Bank. Can be pricey but lovely, lovely lady in there and the clothes aren't made to fit a 12 year old either. It might be worth a quick...

Re: Property & Tax Question

Unfortunately, you're not allowed to transfer equity. If you rent out property A you will be taxed on all rental income. The only way around it is to sell property A to help fund your new residence...

Re: house price negotiation - advice needed!

The price the buyer puts a house on the market at is what the buyer would LIKE to get. It does not necessarily mean that the house is worth this OR that the seller would get this. You offer what you...

Re: Buying house
