Re: New perth arrivals require help please
Have just received our electricity bill the other day. It was $235 for two months. The one before that was $240. Average sized four bedroom house with ducted evaporative air conditioning, no pool and two kids who are yet to discover tv's and light switches can be turned OFF as well as on. The next bill may be a bit higher because we've had the air con on a bit more often.

You might find something useful here:
http://www.broadbandgenie.com.au/mobilebroadband/
Our utility bills:
gas: about $20/month Sep-May, $40/month June-Aug
electricity: about $100/month
water usage: about $160/year
We don't have aircon and use fans on hot nights, have gas-boosted solar HWS. Pool pump runs twice a day. Just have gas heater on in one room on winter nights. Computer on all day (but goes into sleep mode after a while), otherwise tend to switch things off. 4 bed house, 2 adults, 2 kids.

Re: New perth arrivals require help please
most of the information available down right hand side.
some info on rates http://www.aussiemove.com/aus/costlive.asp
by comparison our Council rates / Building Insurance / Electricity are all cheaper ,but Broadband and Gas are a "lot " dearer
It does depend a lot on electric / gas or solar hot water and the star rating of your house for cooling / heating when working out usage.
