Cool Re: EAD approved!

It's true. Nearly ten months after they had my application in their hands, I finally have my card! Of course, they sent it to my old address, even after I called them repeatedly to change it, but...

Re: Any new EAD approvals for Jan2004-Feb2004?

I'm sure they will, eventually! Call and inquire about your status and why it's taking so long. I tried about five times, but it seems like a little bit of a coincedence that I've finally been...

Re: Any new EAD approvals for Jan2004-Feb2004?

Really? Can it take them that long to mail something? (Not that I'd be terribly suprised). Because if my current interim expires before I get the new card, aren't I kind of screwed...?

Re: Any new EAD approvals for Jan2004-Feb2004?

Woo hoo! I'm approved!!! And they sent me not one, but TWO e-mails to let me know about it. Took them a mere nine months (if you ignore the fact that I sent them everything almost a YEAR ago, and...

Re: Any new EAD approvals for Jan2004-Feb2004?

So... I'm still not approved, but the "last updated" date for my EAD application now says 10/14/2004. Maybe it's not on Pluto after all! Does this usually happen before an app gets approved?

Re: Any new EAD approvals for Jan2004-Feb2004?

No, I still haven't been approved. I have yet another status inquiry pending, and I was told on the phone that since it's my third status inquiry if I don't hear back this time within 30 days they...

Re: Any new EAD approvals for Jan2004-Feb2004?

Well... I'm still waiting. They're up to March 9th now (in theory), and I'm well past the 30 day mark for both of my status inquiries (one over the phone, one in person) without hearing anything. ...

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

Just to update: no problem getting a second card in Chicago either. I finally went down this week. A MUCH better experience than the last one. I was there just over an hour instead of just over...

Smile Re: Expire an intetim EAD

Phew! That takes a load off of my mind. I mean, who knows what they'll do in Chicago, but at least I know for sure that it's POSSIBLE now!

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

I actually got a nice lady on the phone today... but she couldn't help me out much. She said it would pretty much be up to the discretion officer in Chicago whether or not to give me a second card,...

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

Didn't sound rude, just thought you might know something else about it, 'cause your posts are the ones that keep popping up in my searches! The situation still makes no sense. I'm on hold at this...

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

You're really the main one I've heard saying that it's not possible. Where did you get this information? Can you point me in the direction of any posts or experiences?

What would be really nice...

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

I wonder, though... Is there anyone out there who has actually gone through this before? And successfully gotten a second interim EAD? It would be very reassuring... But I guess it's not a...

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

I am in the same situation … my interim expires in a week. My husband called the information hotline, and got told that it would be possible to get a second interim… I will definitely find that...

Re: EAD approved already!!

Does this board censor expletives? Because I think I'm going to have to use one now... It has been over 200 days since my NOA. My interim expires tomorrow. WTF do I do now????

Re: EAD approved already!!

I don't have much choice but to try. I'll try to get some "official" information before I take the 2.5 hour drive (if I'm lucky and there's not any traffic). And hopefully I will get some ACCURATE...

Re: EAD approved already!!

Upon further investigation, is it true that there's no such thing?

Mine is JANUARY 14th (receipt date December 23rd). And you think you're going bonkers? Gonna have to get a second interim in a couple of days!

Re: for phunklounge

Oh, another thing I've noticed while entering receipt dates out of boredom -- some of the more recent ones now state the wait time somewhat more accurately: "It is taking between 90 and 120 days for...

Re: for phunklounge

It's not time to move on to February, they haven't finished with January yet! Looks like they do this in chunks -- unfortunately, mine's in one that they've decided to skip (MSC04104...) Similar...
