Hey janmal, not sure where you got the figure £900 from? Teaching Oz charge $450 then the nominal state charges for reg but no where near equates to £900. Verification of documents will cost £60...

Why don't you phone WACOT and ask them. The UK can take some time to process. I sent WACOT a CRB which was a just out of date with a letter explaining that I had submitted an app for a new CRB....

CRB is right, you do need an uptodate one (within the last year). You can go to the MET website and download the docs and post them off. Phone WACOT and they will give you the links that...

I didn't realise that you can't go beyond 2.2 without doing OZ courses etc... I am assuming that this is the same for independant schools as it is for state schools :huh:

I asked Dept Head, responsible for KS3, for a reference and was assessed ok! I don't think it explicitly asks for a 'Head Teacher' reference?!

I thought this would happen immediately but obviously not. I'm being sponsored for the 457 and application has been started. I was sent a TRN number but cannot complete my end of the visa...

I have no idea... I must admit my qualifications route was probably not as simple as some others. If you don't have to do it then good on you as it cost me 450AUD. I'm just pleased it came back A-OK...
