I re-registered my BMW here a couple of years ago and it was pretty easy. Maybe I was just lucky.!

I thought the certificate of conformity was the log book? it is afer all a European document.

A days drive from Scotland to Folkstone, well not really, its about 450km which depending on the time you leave will take between 6 and 7hrs. Then on to Milan which is another 11hrs or so. I always...

Maybe he wasn't in a hurry? The ferry maybe cheaper but is bloody slow compared to the tunnel.

Edinburgh to Milan is doable in a day, just depends how tough you're feeling, distance wise its not...

Many thanks. Would be flying from Parma or Bologna, Pisa is to much of a trek over the mountains. I did a bit of research and it seems you can book 3/4flights at a time. We'll see, I've got to work...

Does anyone commute back to the UK for work? If so, do you manage to block book flights? (Ryanair, Easyjet).

Lots of threads about buying cars... try Subito.it for cars in the local area, costs are usualy a tax for changing ownership (can't remember the name in Italian) then the road tax and insurance.....

We're up in Reggio, not far from Modena but in the mountains, it's cold and damp in the Winter up here but very beautiful. Spring time and Autumn can be lovely, but the Winters have been a bit tough....

Ah yes... it can be a bit wet, but it's very beautiful in the areas that you're looking at.

We have family up in that area, where exactly in FVG are you thinking? It's a nice area but the house prices can be a bit on the high side, but depends where you're going.
