just change the plug. i know you are supposed to get a qualified electrician to do even the most basic things like that but we didn't bother (and i doubt many people do). got aload of aussie plugs...

we sold our fridge freezer for next to nothing when we left the uk - thinking that it wouldn't work as well over here. think it is a myth too - a couple of expats we know brought theirs with them...

yep - we did our tfn's online and i went into the local medicare office at our local shopping plaza to sort medicare out whilst OH spent 20 minutes chasing our 2 year old up and down outside. :D

Hi - don't mean to put a damper on things but we too came to the Sunshine Coast in October and haven't been able to get work.

OH is a carpenter and has had to spend a fair bit of time and money...

We sent loads of hand and power tools over. My husband pete spent a while cleaning them off and was advised to clean them with jeyes fluid but we ran out of time.
