About the bike licence - make sure your wife mentions this to them when you go in for the licence exchange. They will then put it on her record and when she wants to she can book a theory test but...

We assumed they would notify or send it back to the DVLA. As a point of info if you have a bike on your UK licence you need to ask the Ontario licensing people if they could put that on the records...
