And if a person sat beside you on the bus with a snake or a huge spider, for example?
I love dogs but would poo my pants if the latter happened and would be very uncomfortable.
Some people have phobias relating to dogs (irrational fear or anxiety). Some people have reactions (skin, sneezing, etc) relating to dogs. Some transport business owners might even be worried about the potential for dogs to do a huge poo on their property. The same business owners may also be worried that a dog could attack a customer through fear, aggression, or simple defence.
You may love dogs, it's ok that others do not.
Rules are rules and in the same vein that smokers, i imagine, would love to have a cig on a flight, non smokers are happy that this is not possible.
Finally, just because something is set-up in a way that you believe is silly or incorrect does not necessarily make it silly or incorrect.

Erm a huge snake or a spider, well I would move seats or stand, but I would still think it was that persons right to carry those things on the bus. It must be commonplace in India.

Some people moan about absolutely everything. I don't always like giving into those people that want more and more rules.
Just tell me, who decides what is silly and incorrect. Can rules be absolute! The answer is absolutely not.

Hi! I had to post to say your boxer babies look gorgeous. I am a little biased though as I have a fawn boxer myself! I do not know much about transporting them but I heard of many short muzzled dogs not having a problem on flights so I'm sure they'll be fine. Although of course being a brachycephalic breed they do not do well in extreme temperatures you just have to make sure the conditions are right. There is a very good boxer website if you haven't already looked at it where you can find information from people who have transported their boxers in the past.

No, I would have no rules concerning dogs on the bus. I would just like to have the right get on a bus with a good dog without any rules at all. Seeing I have no dog and have rarely used the bus, what does it matter anyway!
You sound like the headmaster I once had. He was very supercilious.
" Get into my office Kate you puny little brat. I'm so much better than you and If you don't obey my rules I'll cane you hard." Then you will see who is boss"!

On a lighter note....laughing, at the Indian bus with the people on the roof and hanging out the window. So phobias about spiders and dead fish, hmmmmmmmmm well I would be worried sitting next to a clown or a Goth or even Steven King.

You could be right
I'll never forget walking around Lake Louise with him when he was about 6 months old, so still cute and puppyish, the Asian lady on holiday didn't think he was cute, she was almost in tears clinging to her fella and stuttering out 'Iiiiisss ttthtthat a rrrreal bbbbear?'

Once we assured her he was a dog not a bear, she was fine and petted him, strange really as chows come from china
Is this an excuse to post some pic's????? Oh Ok, I will (yawn yawn)

No rules concerning dogs on the bus, but rules to force bus operators to let them on. So, essentially you want freedom, but are reluctant to let others have it. This doesn't surprise me as self righteous people are always like this - especially young naive ones.
Ho hum.
Ho hum.
This is getting Kafkaesque.... lets try again, No rules period! Just for there to be a bus and a dog and me, a smiling conducter not being forced to do sod all.
Self righteous? methinks, you are projecting your own characteristics on to me sir.

But what if the bus company doesn't want your dog on the bus.

Well maybe there should be more choice of bus companies those that would welcome a bloody zoo on board and those that cater to wheezers and wouldn't let so much as an angora scarf through the doors.

Well, then feel free to set up your own bus company that lets dogs ride. Just don't talk about having 'no rules' and wanting that freedom to only apply to you and not others.
