Good to know. I was signed up with Setanta until a few months ago and have been toying with the idea of getting on board again for the winter. Have been checking it out now and again and can't say I have been positively swayed on the basis of what they are offering at the moment re 'live' football. Anyone else having 2nd thoughts, one way or the other?

It is basically the same line up as last year.

I get it and for me it is the channel I watch the most. Eight out of 10 premier league games per week are on this channel....the other 2 are on The Score and Sportsnet. Of the 8, typically 3 or 4 are live. There is also a wrap up show that they have on that lasts an hour. There are also lots of world cup qualifiers on the channel.
It is basically the same line up as last year.

I did manage to get a free month for Setanta in lieu of the fact that there was a free month for everybody last winter sometime.

For some reason I had it as part of one of my cable packages for about 6 months then it disappeared - doubt very much if I could bring myself to pay 15 bucks a month for the 1 channel unless they started to broadcast some of the Scottish games live

I think it's great value considering the utility I get from it (hours spent watching)

IMHO.....it is pretty dire stuff I am afraid compared to the English Premiership....though it pains me to admit it....

I feel your pain....
....I supported Rangers before moving over here...and that could be traumatic too. Fortunately, that 'Monkey' is no longer clinging to my back....
.....but on those occasions when I watch the SPL games, they don't impress...even against crap opposition. Until the likes of Rangers and Celtic get some real opposition every week I am afraid they will always be 2nd grade in the grand scheme of European football. How long would they last in the English premiership? Says it all I am afraid.
I do enjoy watching the English Premiership games...and have just signed up to Setanta again...in preperation for the Ontario winter to come......so no doubt I will also cring and watch the odd SPL game as well....
