Eb2 greencard questions

The company is looking into putting us onto an EB2 greencard. Does anyone have any vague idea how long they take? They say current but is that like 2 weeks, 6 months or 12 months?

Update; The company told us the Green card would only take a few months and now it turns out its a 6 year wait.

Ok thanks, they did ask me a few questions at our last H1-b, but that was 2004 hopefully they wont. I guess they just want to check your not likely to work and made the effort to go!

Ok they have clarified the fees, $2-2500 each for me and the kids inc legal fees, which seems ok. BUT the remainder is hubbys fees, they are only paying the Perm fee and not steps 2 and 3, Is this...

Well having been through this visa business before, if you get the wrong person giving you the information on the other end, your on your own. It is a big company which has sponsored people before....

The lawers have told hubby that the cap has been reached for 2011 and the earliest they can apply is October 3rd, but they want him to start right away and seem to think he will be there October 3rd?...

Thanks, they said the visas are full and are not opening up until October. So doesnt that mean they cant apply until October and it will take X long from October?

I would just look for companies online that qualify for sponsoring h1-bs, as amount of employees and size. Just blitz them all with a darn good resume and keep your fingers crossed. Also ask around,...

All sorted! We move back to NYC in November!

I found an amazing apartment in NJ on the Hudson with a 24/7 view of Manhattan, so that swayed me not to live in the city, plus we know the area very well and its only 15 mins into Manhattan....

I assume they would have to prove you had an income from it to be able to retract your visa? If you werent getting paid then they couldnt. People would have to pay for someone to do a job that needed...

My kids volunteer here and dont get paid. So do you think getting it in writing that you are not getting paid would cover you? Its something we will probably look into again.
